Trying to scam

they call and hang up as soon as the answering machine starts.

offered me 2.5 million dollars if I would send him a Cashiers check.  Can you believe people are still trying this scam.

just called me and said I had won 2.5 mil,but they would send $30,000 first. However they needed $250 on a paypal card.  He said his name was Robert Anderson from the Lawrence Law Firm.  This is a raffle that every phone company does every month in each state. he pleaded with me to trust him for over 15 minutes.

JP, thank you for sharing your experience here. As you can tell by the number of recent posts in this forum, these filthy little animals have been particularly active over the past month. Your post has provided some information that I have not previously read in this forum: Robert Anderson/Lawrence Law Firm and using Pay Pal as the means for these rodents to extort money from their victims.

I just received a call from Robert Anderson with Mega Millions and that my number was chosen as a second place winner informing me that I had won 2.2 mil,but they would send $30,000 first. However, they needed a few questions answered because the $30,000 was to be delivered by 6pm today. He stated he had a few questions for me before he gave me the confirmation to claim my prize. I asked him like what questions. He said he would ask me if I had filed taxes single or married. If I had valid DL because he would need that.I asked him if he would tell this to my attorney (since I am married to one) and just like that he hung up on me.
