Cynthia Taylor calls and leaves message saying a formal complaint concerning several "legal matters" has been issued this morning in "Knox County" (does not reference which state).  Wants to verify address.  Says to call the plantiff at 877-204-0087.  Of course none of this makes any sense.

Looks like a common debt collection cold-call.  Total nonsense.  A call alleging a "formal complaint" is meant to make you think that some sort of lawsuit has been filed against you.  If a lawsuit had been filed against you, you'd have first heard about it by letter from the attorney for hte other party.  You'd have a paper trail.  You would have been served with process by a process server licensed to serve process in your area.  You would NOT have first heard about a civil case from some scammery scummery debt collector who cold calls you and then starts demanding money.  You can check this out youself by simply going down to the local main civil court and checking out the defendants civil list.  Court clerks are familiar iwth this scam and will usually be more than happy to help you out.
