"This is an automated message from Empower FCU. Your atm card has been suspended. To reactivate call urgent at 877 204 3850."

I don't have a card with them.

Just got a phone call from this # and they asked for my account number and pin. DON NOT REPLAY TO THIS TEXT OR PHONE CALL. IT IS A SCAM.

I just got a text from this number saying my EDS CU atm card was suspended and to call for reactivation. I called out of curiosity and they asked for my card number as if a new card was being activated. I have never even heard of these people. I just hung up the phone and googled the number. BEWARE!!!!! of all the scams these days.

Got the same ALERT message, saying my card was suspended. I too, do not have a card with these guys. I called the number, just so I could tell them I reported them as fraudulent, but nobody answered.

I did not respond, as it is a scam and haven't heard of this organization before.

I just got the same message as above.

It is a phishing scam. they try to get you to tell them your debit card number over the phone and BAM. . .all your money is gone.

Got this message via sms.  Not calling back but think its a scam.  I googled the number and this site is all that came up.

I also got a text from them on my cell. I did not respond and will not.

As a text page on my son's cell phone. He has no ATM card and I don't through EDS. New phishing scheme, it seems obvious to most of us but I had a long conversation on this one.

Just received a text message from this number saying that this was an automated message from my credit union stating that my ATM card was suspended to reactive call urgent at this number

message said "Application center/ This is an automated message from Empower FCU. Your ATM card has been suspended. To reactivate call urgent at 877-204-3850." I've never heard of FCU and this number has nothing to do with my ATM card, I say fraud.

I received an exact same text message at 8:03pm on 01/19/09.  Hubby had my cell phone and wanted me to call 'em...but I don't bank with them!  So, I told him our bank is not EDS CU honey...it is just a scam!  I'm so glad I found this site.

I can't believe this.  A text to my cell phone from an Unknown ID stating that "This is an automated message from EDS Credit Union.  Your ATM card has been suspended. To reactivate call urgent at 877-204-3850.

This is pathetic! I dont have a card with them and I hate people knowing my cell phone number!    UGH.

Received same text on 1/19/09 at 5:50 pm. I do not have an account with Empower either, but I do live in Upstate NY.
