- Stop Phishing| 1 replyIt's 'Robert' pretending that he is your bff. I've gotten two calls in the past month both with different recordings. The most current recording says, "Hi there, it's me again. This is Robert. I figure you're busy, so I thought I'd try one more time. I just don't want to see you wasting money every month when you don't need to and the VA, like I mentioned previously, is offering this streamlined process to lower your monthly mortgage payments, so, that's why I called before. Uh, It really doesn't take much, they don't require an appraisal or income documents, it's actually pretty simple. Please give me a call when you have a moment, my phone number is 1-877-205-0814. That's 1-877-205-0814. Thanks very much, talk to you soon."

- Stop PhishingThe first call/message from Robert went like this: "Hi, this is Robert again. I didn't hear back so I thought I'd try again. Um, I just really think it's important for you to know that the VA has these great benefits for you because of your VA home loan that you currently have. Um example I mean if you have credit card bills or car payments, you can use the VA benefit to consolidate these in to rates that are low to mid three's plus if you just want to lower your rate, you really don't need to do much except give me a call because you won't need an appraisal, income documents, etc. So it's pretty simple, um, I already have a lot of the information from your previous um loan, or your current loan, up here on my screen, so, uh it's simple. Anyway, give me a call when you have a moment. Uh my phone number is 877-205-0814. That's 1-877-205-0814. Thanks, talk to you soon."

- MamiOReceived a call from this number but the message asks you to call a Maryland local number. It is Sarah from who knows where. They want you to call and provide informationn from your electric bill but never identify your electric provider which was the first red flag. Don't call them back. They are a scam.
- Caller: Sarah from the electric company
- JPThey wouldn't identify themselves but kept asking me to confirm my name and address. They hung up on me.
- Darren replies to Stop Phishing"This is....." (I missed a name because the guy mumbled). Then he says, 'This is in regard to (My address); are you the homeowner?' To which I answer, "No." The reply: "Well, alright then."
