Received this call at work today.  Said they were from Local power company and that our power was being cut because of non payment on account.  I know that this was not true but had receptionist call power company anyway and they confirmed that this had been going on all day and that it is a scam.  I called the number back and they answered as if I was calling the Power Company so when I go home tonight, I am going to call the number and see what happens as I live in a different county.

The police in my area of Ontario have been putting out a warning about this number. It is a scam where they try to get your financial information by threatening to have your hydro cut off if payment isn't made immediately. Please don't give them any information.

Ha - Called it back today and today he answered London Hydro.  I told him about his call yesterday to my work and he hung up on me.

Called stating from the local power company.  Stated account past due and the power was due to be turned off today because of non payment.  I googled the number and saw the scam.  I ask the the guy on the phone for his name.  He said it was Antonio Ortise.  I ask him if this call was a scam because I saw ran his number on the internet as a scam.  He said" You have got to be shi---ing me" and hung up on me.
