    I had heard 877 numbers were scamming numbers.  We received a call from this number claiming to be PCH and we had won one of the monthly unclaimed prizes.  We should Press #1 to find out how to claim the prize or all this number.  I also am up on scams and know Publisher's Clearing House DOES NOT call winners.  I was just glad we were not home at the time to take the call.

    You heard wrong, as they are Toll Free numbers, like it says at the top of the page. I think you probably heard that "876" numbers are scamming numbers because it is a Jamaican area code and the Telecom companies there are known to scam "pay-per minute" charges when you call that area code, without the callers knowing it.
