Very annoying to jump out of a shower to only find this call on my caller id.

unknown caller, nuisance call

Call them back and ask to be removed.
They will ask for your number and will never call again.
You may even get removed of other lists

This number called me, I said hello 3 times, I heard nothing and hung up. I did *69 and got this number.

A scam fund raiser for the "Florida PBA".  I "*69'd" the number and let it ring for about 5 minutes.  Some chick answered and said they are soliciting donations for the "Florida PBA".

Call from 877-205-9960 at 11:58am on 5/12/09.   My computer blocks all 800-type toll calls so it actually didn't ring through, but left no message on my answering machine.  Caller ID showed "Outgoing Call!"  which is an old scam to disguise a caller name.    If it is "Florida PBA" per Darwin, it's no doubt a telemarketing firm collecting for some barely legit PBA-ish organization specifically brought into existence as an excuse to make charity calls.  The telemarketer no doubt keeps 90% of anything donated.    Don't get taken!

Does anyone know where these people are located?  We get several of these 800/877 scammers callings us and then hanging up.

877-205-9960 is the phone number for COMMUNITY OUTREACH - Police Benevolent Association (a charity).   I asked that they take my number off their list.

i've heard that if you get a call from any number like this and they hang up when you answer they may be using a call capture system. if you answer at that time of day their automated call system will put you on their list to contact at that time in the future. i would think that this info is used (possibly even sold?) for whatever calls/customers they are making or have.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH for Florida Highway Patrol.  Told them to go to hell !
