Not Known call identified themselves as Tritium Card Services

failed to identify himself

t/c received for my son who has not lived here for many years.  Person identified themselves as Mina Sparks said she was with Tritium and asked me to have my son phone her.  She provided me with the above phone number and a reference number starting with F and having 7 digits.

We just had the same thing. My Mother in law called us up saying they just got a call looking for my wife. "Todd Trueman" said that they were listed as backups, and that is why he was calling. She moved out over 11 years ago!? I smell scam!

Just got a call from some man identifying himself as 'Al Figgs' from Tritium.
wanted someone to call him back. This is a business number, so they are actually not allowed to call here.
Number was 877-207-2500

my mom just called informing us that someone from card services called asking for my husband and they had her as the only contact number listed. she refused to give them our number

We've received calls from "Lisa" and "Steven" from Tritium, wanting to talk to our daughter.  They have her correct married name, but she has not lived here since 2003.  We refuse to give out her phone number, so they keep calling us but won't give us any information on what this is about.  They just say it's a personal matter.  If they call again we will inform them that our daughter has their number and she's checking them out with the BBB.  It will be interesting to see what the reaction will be.  I'm almost hoping they call again!

I just got a call from Tritium Card Services. They call my cell phone at least 20 times a day. They never leave a message and they always show as Unknown on my caller ID. I just barely answered the phone with them calling for the 15th time today. They said they were looking for a Lizabeth. I told them I've had this same cell # for the last 5 years and never heard of a Lizabeth. I'm pretty pissed that these people call me so many times every day. If they would have left a message I would have gotten back with them sooner. God I hate these people. When I spoke with the person on the phone he explained he was calling from Tritium and gave me his phone # 877-207-2500. I asked him to please remove my phone # from their system. He assured me he would. I'll see if they actually do!

Various names from Tritium call at least 5 times a week. I have repeatedly
asked them to stop calling. Today they called again wanting SS#. What a bunch of crooks.

An answering machine told me to hold for an important call
Connected to a guy called Kevin Brown and would like to talk to my dad.
He left me a message telling me he is from Tritium Card Services and wants my dad to call him back at 1-877-207-2500. I asked what is that regarding about since I never heard about this card company and I know my dad never had any 'card' from this company. Kevin said the issue is confidential and not telling me further information.

Well the FDCPA Fair debt collections practices Act forbids debt collectors from disclosing info to ant third parties so this company which is a collection agency can not tell you what exactly they are calling in reference to when they call unless you tell them u are the debtors spouse but then they will most likely ask you to confirm the debtors ssn# and other biling info to prove this to them. The FDCPA has many different sections and is basically guidelines for companies to collect debt. Think about it if you owed $25,000 on a credit card and was about 3 months past due would u want them calling your house and telling everyone about it. Anyways, if they call for someone who u dont know just say you dont know them and they have to remove you from the database.

My mother just called to tell me Tritium called her looking for me.  Now I'm not sure why they would be looking for me nor do I know how they got her number, I have never given that number out...ever.  They asked for me with my married last name...I took my maiden name back so not sure what it is about.  Curiosity says I should call and find out how the hell they got that number and to NEVER call it again.  Rude *&%$.  So, I know better than to call, I would say a lot of bad things if I did.  Besides, if I were to call I would block my number.  She didn't say she knew me when they called, said she thinks she does...so when they call back and you know they will...she will say that she does't know me and to take her number out of their database.  The f&*^%rs.

Today I picked up a phone call who's ID said "Unknown". I was told that I had an outstanding bill of $625.00( or about that much) and it would cost $125.00 to correct the outstanding bill. The lady who claimed her name was Brena was nasty and rude. She gave me a number to call to contact her the number was 877-207-2500 ex 5152. I called back the number after hanging up with  her to get the name of the company. I asked the man who answered, can you spell the name of your company, and he hung up on me. I have no outstanding bills so I know this is fruad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Somone has to do something about this, sadly some people will fall for this and give up their hard earned money.

Got a call for my daughter who has not lived at this address for more than 10 years. They solicited her new phone number which I did not give out. That prompted them to ask to pass the message on to her and have her call back. This is obviously a fraud!!! Report them and don't give them any information!!

They called ~ 6-8 times a day for the last few days from an unknown phone number.  Today a woman finally left a message saying that she was from Tritium Card Services and that I "need" to call that back right away about a "personal business matter".  I called back to see what they would say when they answer the phone, but it was a recording that didn't identify the name of the company and told me to hold for a representative, so I just hung up.  I have zero debt and no outstanding bills, so after reading these other posts, it's got to be a scam!!

Educated male must be sucking some tritium pipe to post that useless pro-collection agency drivel.

U GUYS R STUPID, ITS A REAL COLLECTION AGENCY, AND U ALL OWE MONEY, N THE LONGER U GO WITHOUT CALLIN BACK, YOUR ACCOUNT CHARGES OFF AND IT STAYS ON YOUR CREDIT FOR 7-10 YEARS!!!! THATS WHAT U GET, PAY YOUR BILLS AND YOU WONT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THEM CALLING U. U GUYS R VERY STUPID, TRITIUM CARD SERVICES HAS PROGRAMS FOR YOU TO PAY AND THEY ALSO TRY AND BRING YOUR ACCOUNT TO 0 DAYS PAST DUE. BUT U KEEP AVOIDING THE PHONE CALLS CUZ YOU KNOW YOU OWE MONEY AND THE MORE U DODGE US, THE WORSE IT GETS!!! O WELL, YOUR DEBT, NOT MINE!!!
PS. IF ITS NOT U, JUST TELL THEM THERE IS NO SUCH PERSON BY THAT NAME, AND THEYLL TAKE OFF THE # AUTOMATICALY.

I think what people are upset about is how MOST collection agencies attempt to go after the debt.  If someone calls you (at an early or late hour) and then quickly becomes rude and arrogant, people take offense. Many times the person trying to make the collection is unable to establish a rapport with the customer and attempts to use feeble and a "one size fits all" approach to the collection.

Certainly there are many customers who will harass and give you (the collector) a hard time merely for your attempt to do your job.  Believe it or not this type of person is an exception to the rule and most people will be willing to work with the collection agency if they would calmly and respectfully try to engage the customer in a more professional manner.

Try it, it may not work some of the time but you may start seeing some amazing success.
