    Probably by using a telephone, either a landline, mobile, or VOIP.

    May or may not be legit, for an charity addiction treatment program in British Columbia. Problem is, it hasn't filed an annual report since 2015, so it may be gone and someone has scooped up the toll-free number once it was cut loose by the telco.  Even if it was still around, not sure you can deduct a payment to a Canadian charity off US taxes.

    877-218-7746 called and no message left.  I blocked the number.  Lots of scams.  I don't answer unrecognized numbers.

    Ditto - hangup.  These type of calls are becoming the norm and I blame the telephone companies for not forcing their clients to have true caller IDs.  What purpose could it possibly serve to have hidden IDs.
