called and said i owed money on a credit card that I never had ..... that if i wanted to keep from having a lein against me.... I should pay him $1017 right now....... when i asked for info about the credit card.... he told me to just pay and he would take care of the charges..... What kind of business works this way......  this is not me....... and I wanted proof to see if some one was using my SS# to open accounts... and he didn't want to talk about that.....

Some sort of debt collector that says they are a process server and that they need to serve a notice to appear. Ask some questions and you will be transferred to the "filing party" whom are extremely rude, curse at you and even threaten you physically. They weren’t even looking for me they were looking for one of my family members that doesn’t even live in the same state but, somehow had my address (I asked then to verify it without telling them what it was). First of all no process server is going to call you ahead of time they want to catch you surprised second I know where I live that only the Sheriff’s office is legally allowed to serve any kind of paper work. Never found out the name of the company because they “filing party” wouldn’t answer any questions. BTW the “process servers” name it Christopher. I filed a report with the FCC, FTC and my local sheriff’s office. These people are braking many fair debt collection laws and are rude even if the debt isn’t yours.

My parents in Califiornia received a call from this phone number saying that they were a process server attempting to locate me.  My mother gave them my number and I talked to a "Paul Angelo."  He said that there was a default judgement against me for $1,595.00 due to a pay-day advance at a Check N' Go in Kansas from 2007.  I never used checks since my bank was USAA and everything is done electronically if you choose to do so, which I did.  I called my attorney here in Rome, NY and he told me that I am not the only one that has received a call like this.  We're trying to find out what company it is and file suit against them.  We have also forwarded this phone number to the local media and Federal authorites.  Besides, being that the year he gave me for the debt was 2007, that's past the statute of limitations.
