bank of the internet, called at 8PM the [***] - caller ID was "toll free number" as if that means anything

If you recently signed up for UFB Direct / BofI Federal Bank, they're just calling to welcome you and check to see if you have any quetions.

Immediately ecognized that this was SCAM!

They called this afternoon and left a voice message saying that they were from BMI Federal Bank and the email they sent
bounced back and that I needed to call ASAP to up date my information.  Immediately recognized that this was a scam call, since I've never heard of the bank because. I did not return the call and immediately block the number.

This isn't a fraudulent call. It's from Bank of Internet. When I called the number, it turned out to be a welcome call for the new account I opened.
I've been a happy customer of theirs for 12 years.

Whew, thx guys. I just signed up with BoI yesterday. So I believe this is why they called. You'd think they' put their friggin name on the caller display other than just the phone number....

I have been trying to get through to them because I opened a roth ira through H&R block several years ago and I've never heard anything or received any updates on my account. All I want is to establish contact with them about this IRA and I have had no luck in getting through.

Scam. Who ever said it's not fraudulent is an idiot. How can a bank I have never heard of or an account I have never had be calling me about a mortgage and voicemail they claim I left?  The person who posted that is probably sitting in the same 4x4ft cubicle as the caller.

They can't because they know it's their coworker in India calling to scam.
