Scammers

Just got a call claiming to be from the offices of Dr Leonard Killrite saying I had a balance on my account, when could I pay. When I said I'd never heard of a Leonard Killrite, he said, well you'd better listen because you have a balance. I said no I don't, I've never been to a doctor by that name and hung up. I immediately blocked the number.

Dr. Leonard is a catalog order, they have several different names.

I received a strange letter that claimed to be from genetworx and had the name of the NP who administered a COVID test to me. It stated that my insurance was going to cut me a check for the medical services and that I should write a personal check and forward it to PO Box 2386 Hicksville NY 11802-2386 or call with a credit card. The number to call was 877-257-9266.

I, too, got a letter on Genetworx letterhead telling me that I am required to pay them for services rendered. However, this letter was not an invoice & no dollar amount was named. Instead, they wanted me to endorse a check from my insurance company (ha!) to them or to write them a check or to call them at 877-257-9266. The "MD" provider they named is actually a PA in another city. The letter does coincide with a COVID test, so I'm thinking someone got their hands on personal information through COVID testing and is now running a con.

Same as above. Letter in the mail claiming to be from Genetworx. Asks for me to endorse a check from my insurance company. Says they “performed a highly specialized and personalized test to provide important information that will be used in determining your treatment.

Does not list a dollar amount.
Does not list a date of service.
Does not specify the test that was provided.
Service provider is a NP in a city 200 miles from me.

I checked my health insurance portal and did not see any claims. This has all the markings of a scam. I pity the poor people who call that number and are pressured to pay them, believing that they actually owe them money. These crooks belong in prison.

Received a letter from Genetworkx charging me for $200 because a Covid test.
We recently went to the RIU Montego Bay, Jamaica where we got a "complimentary" Covid test and I believe this is where they got our information because we gave some personal information. Genetworkx is a legitimate company but a scammer is using their information to run their con. BEWARE!

I received a letter also from Genetworx charging me for a Covid-19 test that was done at a "FREE COVID TESTING" site in our city where there was a big sign that said "FREE COVID TESTING". Now, they are billing me $200. No one answers at that number. They want you to leave your number with the promise to call you back.
