I really don't know who this was necause since I didn't recognize the number, I didn't answer.  I called the number back the next day and it was answered with a recording  that started out with "Thank you for contacting the customer support center".  I hung up at thst point.  When an answering message comes on that doesn't immediately identify the company, it's nearly always telemarketers.  Having said that, I am now blocking this #.

CORRECTION:  This number is for Safeway's Customer Support Department.  It's an automated  line they use to let you know you have prescriptions ready for pick-up, etc.  I saw that I received a call from this # again today.  I called it back again and listened to the recording long enough that I heard something that I could associate with Safeway.  Why the recording that you get when you call doesn't  directly and immediately identify the company, is beyond me.  I will make a suggestion that they change their recording to include the Safeway name.

Received a TEXT saying this is Albertsons and needed me to click a link to finish setting up my account. I have been home all day and no Albertsons within a 100mi of my home.

Scam from Safeway

I have been receiving text from Safeway about some account. This number appears in these text in order to call and stop these texts? What is going on?

Also recieved a text Stating this is jewel osco and needed me to click a link to finish setting up my account Or call this number for assistance

I just received a call from this # identifying themselves as Safeway, saying "Almost there! For more savings, finish quick signup for just for U at https://bit.ly/34B7G30. Now, I never signed up for anything, & won't click on that link because it may have malware, spyware & who knows. Highly suspicious. I never shop at Safeway, so this is fraud, or spam or both!

Yep! Same statement on mine. So scammy. I never shop at Safeway.
