When you call in... the phony system will ask for your card number, exp. date and pin number.

just got this text message:

sms.alert@focusonecu.org. / VISA (Card Blocked) Alert. For more information please call 1-877-261-6831. Thank you.


well did some googling and went to https://www.focusonecu.org/secure.php
and this is what they said on there web page:

Phishing Scam Alert!: If you recently received email or text messages that look like they were sent by Focus One: Be Aware they are part of a phishing scam. This scam was designed to trick recipients into clicking a link in the e-mail, or call a toll free phone number, for the purpose of acquiring sensitive data, such as passwords or financial information. Please be advised that Focus One does not send emails to members containing links to home banking or send text messages. If you have replied to one of these emails, please contact us immediately at (866)-436-2872.

I received same text msg last night.  Appreciate the info left regarding the toll number.  Figured it was something shaky.

Do not call Text message from 877-261-8631 about VISA card blocked. It is a scam!
