We got the same letter with our own case #. We have been looking for debt relief since we were scammed out of all our savings. Anyone else looking for help? Has anyone been able to get through to this number?

I got two of these notices. It's funny how on the envelope there is no name of the company. I truly believe it's a scam. I think everyone gets the smae case number. Check with the BBB or the district attorney in your area.

Call came in Saturday at 8:19 am.  I answered, and line was blank.  Have received dozens of these calls in a two week time period.  Now I try to answer, to tell them to quit calling.  On the occasions I get a person, they disconnect me the second they determine I only want them to stop calling.  It's time for the federal do-not-call laws to change, because these scammers have learned how to get around the rules, and these calls are torture.

This number has been added to the pot of phone numbers being used to annoy by the American Diabetes Association. A year ago or so, ADA was making themselves a major pest with six phone numbers starting with geographic area codes. To be specific, those numbers were 240-210-7102, 301-223-0109, 410-202-0108, 434-878-9983, 571-261-0106 and 703-291-9032. If you were to go looking, you would find that ADA operates from Washington, DC or nearby environs and that all of these numbers have area codes that identify them as being in Maryland or Virginia.

For whatever reasons, ADA has retained all six of those numbers and begun adding area code 877 "Toll Free" calls. The area code 877 numbers I have encountered so far include 877-251-2901, 877-255-1077, 877-262-9431 and 877-269-4965 (1 call from each between 9/6/11 and 9/16/11). Why only 1 call from each number? I blocked each number after their first call. With what? Charter phone service which provides blocking of 12 numbers without your phone ever ringing and the Panasonic cordless phone set I have which blocks up to 30 numbers after 1 ring (it needs one ring to get the caller ID signal from the phone service operator). I'm ready to start looking for a phone blocker that will block any number of calls from one non-geographic area code on a personal computer style "wild card" basis, i.e., entering "877-xxx-xxxx" would cause any call beginning with area code 877 to be blocked.

ADA apparently thinks they need 10 or more lines to keep you confused when the phone rings so you will pick it up. Or, maybe, they don't want you to know the geographic locations these phone calls are coming from. The six numbers with geographic area codes are on phone exchanges located at Waldorf, Salisbury and Williamsport, MD (1 each) along with Haymarket, Triangle and Brodnax, VA (again 1 each). Or, they have some other reason(s). ADA is a charity that has been very careful to meet all the legal requirements for a non-profit operation, but such organizations are only required to use 10% of their incoming revenue each year for charitable functions. That means they can spend up to 90% of the revenue they manage to cop from you over the phone this way on pretty much whatever they desire - high salaries and company cars for ADA top management along with fancy offices and expensive "business" dinners leap to mind.

Digitone call blocker will do exactly that... block entire area codes (877-###-####) I have blocked all toll free exchanges. (800,888,877,866,855) the digitone call blocker is $99.95. Worth every penny I spent on it... no more telemarketing calls.  :-)

I never pick up. If these calls are coming from the ADA, they are doing way more harm than good.

Download Phone Tray. It's free, and so far as I know does not have a limit on numbers to be blocked.
