Not sure who it is. They called us, heard our Sentry message and hung up. Since no message was left, can only assume it's a jackwagon. Now blocked forever!

I just had the same thing happen. Then within minutes I got a call from 800-225-5555.

They called 4 times today.   Only answered the final time.  Scammers.  Hung up when I reminded him about the do not call list!

Received several calls and ignored all.

They almost alled me every day. They are crazy! They are the ghosts!

I happened to be at my computer when this number rang through - first thing I did was come here and type a Search.  :-)   I did not answer and the caller hung up on our machine.  Will be blocking number.

The number called again this morning.  Since it is a toll free number, I decided to dial it.  When it answered there was a recording, "Thank you for calling about your energy rates".  Immediately I hung up.  Now I have blocked the number.

They are from yet another solar company...  Told them to put me on their don't call list and blocked them.

They call me several time and when I pick up the phone no answer . I don't know who is calling. But I want block this number if you can

Just called me @ 3:00pm pst. Said Hello, no answer, said hello again, heard muffled voice in background and they hung up. Why do they bother calling if they are just going to hang up and not give me the chance to say a few choice words?

Still calling regularly.  Today some guy left a creepy message on my voice mail.  Aggravating morons.

Got a call from this telemarketing spammer from solar company.  When I told him he was violating the Do Not Call list and not to call this number again, this spanish guy said I was "[***] rude".  Do you believe this BS?  These scumbags should be fined to the maximum extent for each time they violate the DNC list.  Where is the government regulation to address these spammers?

Decided to finally pick up this call.  I have seen them call several times.  The operator said that he wanted my info but would not tell me who he was wth.  When I told him that I was on the National Do Not Call list he said that his employer did not recognize that and I would have to pay him $9.99 to have them stop calling me.  He kept asking me for a credit card number.  I asked him again to stop calling me and he said that he would continue to call me.

Modern technology has given telespammers the tools to call you.
Lawbreaking telescammers ignore both the Do Not Call list and any request you might make.

Modern technology can also protect you, if YOU do a few simple things!
The most effective thing to do is to get a call blocking device, service or app.
Then, use it correctly.

Google "call blocker" for more information.  There are available apps (some free) for smart phones, and services and devices for landlines.

If you cannot use or afford such a tool, then:

• Do not answer calls from unknown numbers ... let them go to voicemail or answering service.  Telespammers usually hang up after 3 or 4 rings.

• Do NOT return calls from unknown numbers!  All that does is verify your phone number!  And, in some cases, those return calls may cost $20 or more to complete. If the incoming call was important, they would have left a message!

• If you have a "dumb" cell phone, assign the scammer's number to a group named "scam" (or similar).  Then, assign a silent ringtone to that group. (This also works for smartphones).  The spammer will usually hang up before the phone goes to voicemail.

• Another option, for cell phones:  Assign a "silent ringtone" as DEFAULT.  Then, assign your favorite ringtones to all known friends / family / business numbers.  That way, you will hear rings ONLY from those you wish to contact!  You will not hear scammers' rings, even if they change their number!  (This is also called "whitelisting", and will cause you to miss calls from non-whitelisted numbers).

Telemarketers for solar products company refuses to remove us from their call list, gets argumentative when I ask them to stop calling.  Most likely a scam.
