www.billhlp.com electronic debit my account for 49.95 for XP virus protection 2008.  The number on my bank statement is 877-270-4361 and a fax number 480-449-8820.  I have called this number to request my money back and also sent a fax to the fax number requesting the same thing.

They got me, too. I kept receiving pop-ups from them, so I bought it and tried to download. It doesn't work & I've been meaning to call them about it. But, now I see its a scam. If anyone knows what to do about this, please post a solution. Thanks.

Same thing happened to me, microsoft sent a message saying to download their anti-virus package as my system showed numerous virus's, downloaded it and got charged $49.95, ran anti-virus package which worked once then icon disappeared never to return.  Called mastercard and they say I have to take the problem up with my bank.  Tried calling microsoft but coulnd't contact a human being, just websites that go nowhere, like trying to contact the pentagon.  If I find out any solution or cure or who these crimnals are I will repeat back!

Thank you for the advise Thomas.  I went to the ic3.gov website and filed my complaint.

I was receiving popups on my computer that I was at risk of a virus, and fell for them making the purchase of a virus.  I learned the hard way, trying to get rid on the virus (Norton), Having all files deleted and waiting to get a start up disc that I didnt have, requesting from the manu. of my computer and never recieved the disc due to authorization from MS.  I ended up purchasing a new computer.

We got pop ups that prompted us to download the program including information from our debit card.  The program does not work at all and locked up our computer.

Also got a popup about XP Antivirus, saying I had a dangerous worm, so downloaded the anti-virus. Of course, it will only "fix" errors, upon download of full antivirus, for which I was charged for $49.95. It erased everything in temporary folders and more and am now missing many things.  Keep getting error messages that certain programs and/or files are missing.  Geez, what a rip-off and dangerous scam!  Will also report to ic3.gov.  Thanks for the info.  Will check back, for recourse, should anyone find one!

Got a pop up and needed the virus protection so I decided to download it.  I downloaded the anti-virus and nothing happened.  Nothing downloaded and my computer froze up and I can no longer use it.  This is definatley a SCAM and I would like some kind of recourse for the money I lost.

I was receiving popups on my computer that I was at risk of a virus, in which the pop ups froze up my computer I purchased the anti-virus package. All though I did not receive a call I got it through the internet. But the program name I got was called Spywareisolater I don't remember seeing XP Antivirus 2008. Anyways I did receive a phone # from them and letting me know that the charge will appear as billhlp.com 20147##### on my account. Instead it was charged as billhlp.com 8772704361 on my account. The program is still working and I got my computer back to normal.

Hope this information be of some good use, I personally have not tried calling the number below.

I received a pop-up that I had numerous viruses invading my computer.  I could not get rid of the pop-ups without purchasing the programs.  Got charged for XP antivirus and File Shredder(without confirming) for $69.95.
Thought this was weird afterwards because we already have an antivirus program.  It "fixed" all viruses and I restarted my computer.  I then ran the program that we already have and it found and froze the XP antivirus program.  I did notice that the icon was on my computer, but then disappeared later.  I called the 800 # 3 times, put on hold 3 times, got a message 3 times from what sounded like a real person that I needed the last 8 digits of my credit card # or my email address, the line went dead all 3 times and I have emailed a note threatening to contact Better Business Bureau and get legal action if they did not refund.  I wonder what I'll hear back from them.  Tried to go to their web site-nothing found and I stumbled onto this site.  Doesn't surprise me!!  My husband said to keep an eye on the credit card bill-possibly identity theft!  I am so stupid and gullable-I even work at a bank and deal with this all the time!!  I will call my credit card Co.  and also report this to the gov.  Thanks for all the info!
