Got a message in my VM from a Matt Anderson form CDI saying I have a claim against me - they got my name wrong (really, if you are pulling a scam can't you do better than that?) and they state the need my address of residence or employment. Smells like a scam to me. Trust me, anyone you owe money to will already have your address if you haven't moved.

I also got a few calls from this number stating the exact same thing that they have a claim against my dad to which I haven't lived with in 20 years! They stated in their message that they have his last known address and number and need to serve him? If they had this last known address and phone number why are they calling me? I tried calling this number back as they left me a reference number and when I called back it does not even ring, there is just music playing then it asks me to leave a message. Really? They threaten to serve someone with a complaint against them then they ask for a call back, then they want you to leave a message. This sounds very shady to me too.

I've gotten a couple calls on my cell phone, myself.  On the first call, a young woman from "CDI" called me.  She asked to speak with a person whom I've met through family once long ago (an acquaintance).  I asked how she got my phone number and all she said was that I was that "my phone number was listed as the point of contact."  She said to tell my acquaintance to call (877) 270-6598 because there is a claim against her.  The woman was incredibly vague both about the nature of the matter and the organization she was representing (fishy!).  Basically, she kept the call as brief as possible so I had no time to think and to just react.

Then a few days later, I got a second call, this time from a young man.  This call was actually a follow up.  This time, I asked HIM how he got my phone number and HIS response was that "I was listed as the point of contact."  I brought up the name "CDI" and he pretended as if he had never heard of it.  He even intentionally misrepeated the lettering to give the illusion that he'd never heard of it.  This guy claims he represents "PVS" (another vague acronym).  

To me, these were the giveaways that this was a scam:
1.) They got a phone number that doesn't match the person,
2.) Both callers were very brief about how they got my phone number (just saying my phone number "was the point of contact")
3.) Both callers were very brief about the nature of the claim,
4.) Both callers used vague acronyms for their organizations (acronyms that tell you nothing about what the organization does),
5.) The 1st caller claimed that just my phone number was listed as "the point of contact" while the 2nd caller claimed that I was listed as "the point of contact"
6.) Both callers claimed to represent different organizations.  The 2nd caller even pretended to not have heard of CDI despite the fact that the 2nd caller knew in detail things I said to the 1st caller, in detail.  He's read her notes; I know it.

just got this same message from Matt Anderson. recvd a ref number about a complaint against me. sounds like a serious scam. told them to serve my attorney.

GOT A CALL FROM TWO DIFFERENT INDIVIDUALS STATING THE SAME THING, THEY CONTACTED A RELATIVE OF MINE AND TOLD ME TO GIVE THEM A CALL, STATING THEY HAD A CLAIM AND THAT THEY'VE ACCESSED MY CREDIT REPORT AND THAT I OWED A DEBT AND A JUDGEMENT WAS FILED AGAINST ME. REQUESTED MONEY THAT DAY BUT THEN DECIDED TO WAIT A FEW DAYS FOR PAYMENT. TOLD ME THEY WERE FROM A COMPANY CALLED NCM. THEN I GOT A CALL FROM MATT ANDERSON STATING HE NEEDED MY ADDRESS AND PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT TO HAVE ME SERVED, I'M THNKING IF YOU HAVE ACCESS TO MY CREDIT REPORT WHICH MY SOCIAL IS REQUIRED TO GET, THEN YOU DEFINITELY HAVE ACCESS TO EVERYTHING ELSE. I TOTALLY THINK ITS A SCAM AND I'M NOT PAYING. THEY CAN DEFINITELY CONTACT MY ATTORNEY. THEY STATING I OWED AN OUTRAGEOUS AMOUNT OF MONEY TO AN OLD CREDIT CARD COMPANY.

Got a call from this company.. well actually they call every week and ask for the same person. After numerous times of teling them that I do not know this person and I wished them good luck.. he stated that this person gave my number out as a point of contact. SERIOUSLY?? I told him that that was not my problem nor business. He would not give me the name of the company, told me it was a private call.

Well excuse me! Once you dial my number every week asking for the same person, it is no longer private and it is becoming my business.

Funny how they won't be truthful yet they want the world from you.. what a joke

Have received same calls and harassment, caller would not give me any information what it was about, have called several family relatives passing along same number, I definitly think it is a scam of some sort, they request you call the number for a POSSIBLE law suit case against me and phone calls are at all hours and sunday, what courthouse is open of a sunday? If they have my address send me a registered letter, I will be filing a complaint with the Sherifs office I suggest everyone do the same.

I dont think its a scam, they clearly are trying to collect on our debt and you all are just getting away with stealing credit card companies money.
