- ChrisNhome security system
- Call type: Telemarketer
- MelanieAndrewsI ignored the call, it's from a toll free number, I ignore all of these. no message. after reading these comments, I blocked the number.
- KathrynMy recording said it was "not a telemarketing call' and that I was "referred by a friend or relative to receive a free home security system that's monitored 24/7 by police and fire."
- Call type: Telemarketer
- LMLSolar panel scam artists. How do I know their scam artists? 1) They called my DNC-listed landline. Legitimate businesses comply with the DNC list; 2) They used a robo-dialer; and 3) Their sad attempt at an AI system is illegal because at no time did it identify the company name nor did it provide a legitimate phone number. When the recording asked me if it was okay to see if I qualified, I didn't use that word I avoid like the plague, "yes," instead I said, "Hello?" again, to see how it would react. The dumb system transferred my call to another recording that said, "Thank you for calling!" I DIDN'T call you, idiot! It gave me an option to talk to a "solar panel specialist" or some such nonsense (that would be "scam artist") or press a different number to be removed from all the cost-saving, yadda, yadda, offers. I didn't press any number. The call disconnected on its own.
- Caller: scam artist
- anonymousrecording selling solar panels... acts like a person speaking, only listens at one point in call. If you don't talk when it is listening, it repeats. If you do talk, and you don't say something positive, they hang up. they obviously do not honor the federal do not call list. No way in the WORLD I would EVER buy something from them intentionally.
- Caller: solar bull-[***]

- howlinguistPartial solar panel message. It's recorded but it sounds like a real person, with umms and ahhs. Called my Google Voice number. First time I've ever received a junk call on that number in all the years I've had it.
- R. KrauseThey did not state representation for a company. The first time they called it was sales for solar panels before I could say anything. The second call was simply, "Hello, thank you very much"; and hung up. Scam call I'm sure.

- DeniseSame here. Solar panels. It's an 'authentic' sounding recording with the woman's voice very conversational and familiar. Anything for capitalism. yay.

- Caller: Talemarketer or Scam?
- Call type: Telemarketer
- VincentNot sure if it was about solar panels or not but the recording started "This is not a sales call. You were referred by a friend to see if you qualify for..."I didn't listen to the rest.

- Same problem! replies to HI also had a call from this number and now the number is disconnected. I wanted to find out where they got my number!
- psnoOK- I have been posting this about all these calls. If you do the following, you can reduce these calls considerably, and eventually they'll consider your number to be inactive.
First and foremost NEVER-EVER answer the call if you don't recognize the number. When you answer it just verifies your number is active and it will be sold to others who will also call.
Secondly DO NOT EVER fall for their ploy of being added to their “do not call list” because- once again- it only verifies your number is active and it will be sold, thereby increasing the calls.
This is what I did and it is VERY effective:
1) Check to see if your phone service offers “Selective Call Forwarding”. On my phone you dial *63. This service allows you to forward calls that you designate to any other number anywhere.
2) Compile a list of the annoying numbers and designate any one of the annoying numbers as the number to forward the calls to.
3) If you do this correctly, the moron calls will then be automatically forwarded to another moron. Your phone won't even ring! You can even forward them to a company that's out of business or even your worst enemy.
As time goes on, you may have to review the numbers and add or delete new numbers. I did this for about 6 months and have reduced my moron calls from several a day to one or two a week. Eventually they will think your number is inactive and will drop you from their lists. The good news? NO ONE can get around this like they can with the government’s impotent “do not call list”. If this works for you, please feel free to pass it along and together we can all keep the morons guessing.
