12/18/09 Answering machine had message that I had won a very special prize and I should call 1 877 279 3457 I called and was told to dial Ext 109 and they told me it was busy and they would call me back.They never called me back.Icalled them later and never could make a connection.A friend told me she heard of this earlier with the only difference being the ext# 9.She said it was a method used to gain personal information about the called person.

These bogus scam perpetrators have apparently started using different numbers recently. They are scamming a lot for the holidays it seems. The scammers name is allegedly Tony Mitchell or Mitchell group a ripoff marketing company. they called my parents house today, they are in thier 70's, and tried the same bait and switch: you win a car or one in four prizes etc.

the number called from was 708-822-8026 7088338026 but the 18772793457 877-279-3457 number was left in the voice mail.

I would like this evil devil worshipping "Tony" and his co conspirators put in jail or prison. I am reporting this to my local police, county sheriff, and state authorities such as the attorney general and I ask that all of you reading this please do the same. I may even try calling a federal agency as this has crossed state lines and may also be a felony.

please note that I purposely added many extra key words to this post to attract the search engines like google and yahoo so that when good folks like us who are being targeted by a criminal or criminals can do a quicker search and come up with good information to stop these con artists.

This "Tony" is a real joker.  If you get called,PLEASE contact your local police and I am planning on also contacting some news agencies. NBC has done several shows on scam artists like this.  Here is a link to one of this "Tony's" convictions.

recieved a voice mail from ken neel (kneel, neal, etc) about i entered to win a car within the last 12-18 months please call him back regarding this he will not call back again. he called from a 773-358-1470 and told you to call back 1-877-279-3457 ext 29. DO NOT GIVE HIM YOUR INFO!

got a call from ken neal stating that i had won a prize.  played along with him but did not give any personel infor.  gave me an address to pick up the prize but stated he had to set an appointment up first.  the address was 142 n orlando av suite #100, cocoa beach fl 32931 with the business name of beach cruise and travel.  he got upset when i told him that we could not go to the business right away and asked if i would call him back (fat chance).  sounds like an old boiler room operation.

Call from Tony on today's answering machine. Same info/message as wontbescammed above and the phone number was 877-279-3457 ext 109. Thought I'd do a search on line and I found this information.

Same as above, call from Tony. The tip off would be  "I have made numerous attempts to reach you" if so, how come this is the first time he is successful also, He never mentions your name. If a card was filled out in your name and he was trying to contact you then why wouldn't he know your name and use it?

January 12, 2010 - - Looks like ol' Tony is at it again! Today, he used the number:  877-279-3457 - I have the same complaint as does everyone else. However, I would like to add that Tony Mitchell has a case on appeal, filed January 9, 2009 - This has to do with his conviction for possession of crack cocaine in excess of 50 grams and for being a felon in possession of a firearm. I hope to heaven the FTC nails this guy SOON! He's a menace to us all! Appears like he's in Indiana, now. (Above mentioned court case was filed in Western District of Tennessee.)

Need to make a correction:  The court case on appeal from the United States District Court for the Western District of Tennessee, was file on January 13, 2009. (Case # 07-6105 - United States v. Mitchell)

I received this same call using the exact same words the number was 877-279-3457 x109 call tony.

Just got the call a few minutes ago. 6PM est. The exact message as above was on my answering machine. Ilooked up the number and found this post immediately. My wife and I don't fill out things of this nature so I was suspicious.

Received call at 7:41PM. Same methods as above, but was a female using name of Saniya.  When told I couldn't come at the appointed time to the appointed place (142 N Orlando Ave, Ste 100), she requested me to call back tomorrow at 1-877-279-3457 x104.  I do enter sweeps from time to time, but the caller could not tell me the name of the sponsor.

Well, here we go again.  Same tag lines - to the letter...

I returned the call only after educating myself via many hits on google for scam related activity from the 877-279-3457 number, left a message and waited for a return call.  I spoke with a gentleman who called himself John Watts.  He returned my call from number 773-358-1470.  I asked him what information was on the entry form that I had filled out.  He told me that my name, phone number, married, aged 25-69 (kind of a broad range) and that our combined income was at least 50k.  I told him that I did not recall filling out this card.  I also told him that I remember everything (a stretch but it was effective).  He became very condescending, telling me that I could not possibly remember everything that I have done in the past 18 months (I guess they count on that).  I reminded him that I was on the do not call list and that he must have been aware of that since he told me so on my answering machine and yet still managed to call me.  Thats when the phone went dead!!  I will notify the FCC and any other "Do not call" agencies.

Same line of bull from "TONY" at the prize center. Didnt call them back. Figured it was a scam. 708-833-8662 was the number on the caller ID, however the call back number is the same 877-279-3457.

I got the same call to call Tony back and claim my prize! He said to call 877-279-3457 x 109! How do I report it?!

i have contact the attormey generals office and filed a complaint in regards to unfound statements. Tony Mitchell is a common name before you slender anyone make sure you have the right person.
