- DEBBIENRG-SUPPORT, hacked my account today for .01 and I called the credit union and told them about this and they replied that they will probably try to take more money. I have not authorized this company and I do not know them. I am tired of people trying to take advantage of everyone. I called their number 1-877-284-9393 and told them they better not take anymore money out of my account and to put my .01 back in my account. I am also on a do not call list.

- impelite| 1 replyI noticed two different transactions associated with this phone number. The first was for $0.01 by Global Telecom whose actual company phone number is 1-888-481-0757 and the second was Paytech whose actual company phone number is 1-787-774-1555 which handles payments for Global Telecom which was for $39.95. This information was given to me by Chase Bank. This was totally unauthorized. I had not even heard of these companies. I put in a dispute with Chase right away and now I have to close my account which means literally no access to my account until they mail me another bank card. What a hassle. I do not give this information out and have no idea how they got it unless Chase was hacked.

- WolfmanJack replies to impeliteYou missed that story? Yes Chase was hacked along with dozens and dozens of other companies both large and small. And you still have access to your accounts without that card. You go the bank and talk to a real live teller.
- I Was Scammed| 2 repliesI was scammed twice in a matter of 1 week by these people. Both times for $39.95! Same thing as other people on here, NRG support and Paytech. There is a way to fight them!
I submitted a fraud report online at http://www.ic3.gov/complaint/default.aspx
I also have the company's address and other info so we all can get back at them. Here it is below.

877-284-9393 - support@nrg-support.com - Jennifer| 2 repliesSame as everyone else! Took me for 3 months @ $39.95. Talked to TCF and they suggested I close the account. Why cant my bank block these people from withdrawing? I shouldn't have to close the acct! I rarely use my checking acct, mostly my card so I have NO IDEA how these clowns got my routing & checking acct numbers. I haven't signed up for any services, don't use a computer only my phone and tablet. It's the weekend so will have to call when they're open..... Doubt this will go well. :-(

- Amy replies to Brenda| 6 repliesI was hacked for $39.95 & received a $37 NSF fee from my bank. My statement said Web payment. I don't even own a computer, only use one at work and I have never even bought anything or paid a bill on line. Wondering how this Co. is getting peoples bank info. I filed a complaint with BBB. Waiting for my bank to be refunded, which when I called NRG did not argue with me. That tells me they may be making millions from people across U.S. that may not be catching this scam. Time for government to get involved. I have also been advised to close my bank acct. What a hassle.
- Amy replies to JenniferI bank with TCF also. Same thing happened to me. They told me I should close my account, but I can't if I want this thieving co, to refund my $39.95. I told TCF rep. not to allow them to take any more $, she acted like she did not understand what I was talking about. Stupid people! I'm changing banks & praying TCF doesn't let them hack me again in the mean time.
- AmyI got scammed too for $39.95 & a $37 overdraft fee. Don't know how they got my bank info. I don't even own a computer!
Didn't argue about refunding my $ when I called, them but will see. Hopfully stupid TCF doesn't give them any more $ - SharonI was hacked on 3/12/15. Same story $39.95 from my checking account plus $37 NSF fee from TCF bank. They are making millions hacking account across not only US but this is world wide. My question is how many people don't catch this? What a scam. I'm wondering why government is not getting involved to stop this. My bank told me I need to close my account but I can't till these scammers refund my $ so I am very worried that TCF will let them take more before I get acct. closed, the rep. from TCF didn't seem to be able to blockt another withdrawal. It seems we are dealing with thieves and stupid people. I reported this NRG to BBB.
- SsimmonsFound 2 charges for $39.95 in Feb, and Mar, 2015 on my bank statement today. Called 877-284-9393, they claim I signed up for "computer service" for 5 computers. I don't HAVE 5 computers! I told them I wanted a full refund of BOTH charges and to get my information OFF their system. Claim the refund will be processed in 4-6 business days and the account will be closed. I am reporting this as fraud to my bank right now. I'll let you know if the refund actually gets processed.

- MariaSame story here, non authorized charges to my account, i filed a complaint to FTC, BBC and AG of Nevada. My bank did a refund. After several phone calls could talked to NRG, the rep said "my account was closed", though, funny thing is she didn't even asked for additional information, just heard my complaint, and immediately said the "account was closed" couldn't explained how did they got my personal information including my checking account, her response was "that maybe a relative opened the account for me". BBC of Nevada said the case is closed now due to i already received a refund from my bank, and that "IT WAS AN HONEST MISTAKE FROM NRG SUPPORT LLC" , so much for an organization supposed to "help consumers". Today received a letter from AG of Nevada and is opening an investigation. Would recommend to all victims of NRG to send a complaint to the AG of Nevada, doesn't matter if the amount was little or not from our checking account, problem is they are getting away with their fraud with BBC blessings, BBC has so far 80 complaints against that company, but i believe it must be much more than that because people think doesn't worth to complaint because of the amount taken from their checking account. ATTENTION: There is a high risk of ID Theft from NRG, would suggest to set up a flag with all Credit Bureau Offices.
- JulieYes, these guys hacked my banking information too! This is the only place I have been able to find any info about them, how to get in touch with them, and how many people they have scammed. Unbelievable!!! Yes, how did they get my banking information, and why can't the Federal Government do something about these creeps?!?! I too am on a very fixed income and had an overdraft charge because of them. I did find some info on the Better Business Bureau about them and hopefully the BBB can shut them down and get everyone they scammed their money back and prosecute them for stealing from unwitting, struggling Americans.

- Jennifer NorthcuttI just found charges of 39.95$ today 04/21/15 from NRG called bank and notified them of fraudulent charges. They canceled the transaction, and gave me the phone number of said company. I called and talked to a gentleman who said I had approved charges for tech support which was completely false. They gave me an old email address that I haven't used in a few years, and had my address. Very worried about how they obtained my checking account information. I was given a conformation # and was assured the account would be closed with a refund sent in the mail. Thankfully I already canceled the transaction from my bank. Hopefully they do not try other transactions in another company name. I will continue to monitor my account daily. company's like this need to be shut down. It is very sad that they have been getting away with this for a while.
- Gloria replies to I Was Scammed| 1 replyI was hacked by this company a few months ago. I contacted my bank and got a new bank card..Dam@ they got to my account again for 39.95..I'm contacting them in the morning because they are close and record the call. Now i have to get another card. the problem me is i have to get a brand new back acct. this is a major problem since all my bills are direct deposit out of my acct, my payroll and retirement military check will now have to be directed to a new acct. i wish i can get my hands on them..but doing it the legal way sound better.
- gloria replies to Gloriacorrection New Bank Card..I'm so mad right now I'm boiling..today is payday and they got me the last time on my payday..i hope we all get this solve. i need my money especially being a single parent with a kid in college..
- Janice| 2 repliesI was hacked $39.95 twice. Pinged for a penny then debit occurred. Placed stop payment with bank which worked for one month then they used a different payee identifier. Called bank again instituting fraud report. Called telephone number 877-284-9393 extension 1. Individual claims I signed up for computer tech support...nope...have Apple Care. Claims to have cancelled my "account" with them and refunding monies which was followed by conformation e mail. Cannot understand and frankly frightening how all of my information was available to said "company"...and I use the word very loosely. Has anyone actually gotten a refund?? Have to close out my account which I have had for 15 years and open a new one. Just a giant headache I do not need.

I do not even know of HughesNet and have never had any contact with them. When I called the phone number, I was given three different numbers I needed to call to report such a violation.
