Call and no talk when I pick up

this number called my cell phone here in l. i too have verizon. they didnt leave a message

Received call from this number.  Did not answer, they did not leave message.  I am a Verizon Customer as well.  Called twice in 5 minutes.

I called Verizon and the guy said that the number did not pop up as on of their numbers

I have a verizone phone to . Call my cell phone but they never leave a message Call it back and it is a recorded message from Verizone about up dates

I called back got Verizon advising of roaming upgrade sched for 2/19, followed prompt to dial *228 at got upgrade AOK.
Spoof?

Just switched from Verizon to Tracfone yesterday, ported my number over to the new phone, so my number was originally a Verizon number.  Could well have been a call from Verizon from a part of the system that hadn't gotten the word yet.

Received call but did not answer.  No message left.

It's a Verizon number. If you get a call from this number it means that they have updated or modified something with the network (e.g. added an antenna or updated their antenna broadcasting/call routing software; etc.) and you need to dial *228. This will update your phone with the current data that is stored with Verizon as opposed to the old network data before the upgrade. The call to *228 is airtime free.
