Faxed ad supposedly from (877) 288-4001, offering "All Roofing & Asphalt Paving"  "Flat Roof Expert"  "We Make Old Driveways Look New"  "Family Owned & Operated" etc.
"We are overstocked and now passing the savings on to you"  [A roofer is "overstocked" ???]
Also offering senior discount, some jobs no deposit required etc.
BUT - NO COMPANY NAME GIVEN, "ask for Calvin" NO LAST NAME, and call today (619) 739-0705 or (619) 565-3613, both of which are cell phones and not traceable.  
"To opt out of our fax list, call 800 391 6684 ext 2258"
 
This seems to have SCAM written all over it...

Got a spam fax from Accurate Recycling from 877 288 4001. Same opt out number.  I'm sending it to my spam fax people, but if the call originates in Canada, they can't do anything about it.

Get faxes from the same number one for life insurance and the for Environmental Recovery.  Just want them to STOP

recieve  faxes from this number 1-2 X per week, environmental recovery of x-ray films etc. have requested removal MULTIPLE times. they just keep coming.
is there any way to stop them?

I get the faxes for "Superior Recovery" and "Environmental Recovery" looking for scrap X-ray film.  I opted out 8/23 and this morning (9/20/11) got another with everything the same except the title. And nobody answers the phone numbers in the ad.  And, I tried faxing back to the originating number, 877-288-4001 and get a busy signal...

Periodically get unwanted and "print-at-my-expense" fax ads from this number. Will try to get CT to stop this operation.

Same thing. no number to block b/c it's listed as private on my call history. Mine says business capital/business funding program.

Now, the sender name is supposedly Alliance Recovery & Surplus. It's not even listed in the telephone directory. The sender's number at the top of the page is the same that we received a similar fax from in July. But, now, the contact number is given as 312-835-4035, which is located in Hickory Hills, IL, near Chicago. They also give a different fax removal number. I called the opt-out number on the previous fax we received in July and a recording affirmed "request processed."

On the current unsolicited fax, "machinery" is spelled "mechinary."

How the hell do you stop these from coming?

We are constantly getting these faxes as well; Call number to remove from fax list; Week later, another company name and number advertised and new extension on Fax Removal line; Actual phone number listed at top of fax (877-288-4001) is invalid number when you call.  Called all three companies on faxes over last month and got 1 answer and 2 voice mails.  The person that answered definitely didn't sound like legitimate company (called himself Kevin).  Said would talk to marketing company. Yeah . . . right.

Receive at least one per month from 877-288-4001.  Reported to the FCC.  Thought I might call & get my free estimate just to get him in here so I could show him what comes thru the fax!!! :)

Spam fax. Could be from "All Types Roofing & Seal Coating" or maybe that is just the headline. The return phone number, 530-666-5005, is in the Arlington Heights, IL phone exchange, but a web search cannot find a listing. An automated removal robot, 800-391-6684, plus an "extension" reported that the fax number would be removed within 24 hours. Pretty obvious the sender is a fax mill who is either totally fraudulent, or is hired by frauds and dupes to use the sender as a service. One way to attempt to stop the fax mill is to complain to the Illinois Attorney General http://illinoisattorneygeneral.gov/consumers/conscomp.pdf..You have to mail it. The FCC also takes spam fax complaints on-line: http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm.

Received 2 sets of faxes about a week apart, from the same Pharmaceutical Credit Corp. which has entirely different numbers in the text. The company has a website, with the same contact numbers, but not the Header number.
Header indicates it was faxed from 877-288-4001, which may reveal some sleazy blast-fax company has tricked +/- legitimate businesses into using their services without revealing that they are violating unsolicited fax laws. Had a similar thing happen before, with a local restaurant; called and told them that THEY could get hit with the fines if anybody took the time to go to small claims court. The owner was really grateful I took the time to let them know, as they were just duped into some fax-advertising scheme without any knowledge of violations they risked.
