- SI got a message that said I won a prize from something I supposedly entered at one of their events last year. Round trip tix to any Marriot in the US. Plus dinner at Olive Garden.
They will hold my prize for 24 hrs.
I didn't call back.- Caller: International Incentives
- momMy son just got a call from this number. The message said that it was the promotional department of International Incentives saying he won a sweepstakes he recently entered. He won roundtrip tickets to somewhere across the world.
Sounds like scam to me. He did not call back.- Caller: International Incentives
- ??I just got the same message...but I don't remember ever entering any sweepstakes?? Must be a scam!
When I called the number back it said to meet at an address that they listed, and to bring my spouse, driver's license, and a major credit card. In return they would give me free roundtrip tickets, free 2 night stay at a Marriot Hotel, and free Olive Garden. Yeah Right!!- Caller: International Recipients
- LinnyI received the same call. Said I entered a contest, but I never did. Airline tickets and free room and board anywhere in the U.S. Did not call back. Figured it was a scam.
- Caller: America West
- JohnSame call. I guess we're *all* winners. "Promo Dept of America West... 2 free tickets, hotel stay". My verdict = scam.
- OfeliaI just received a call from some lady named Aron, from the promotional department of American West, saying that the entry form that me or a family member filled out at one of their events last year, was pulled and me and my spouse have been selected to receive two complementary round trip air fair vouchers departing the airport closest to me, heading out to my choice of any major city in the US and that this includes two night three day deluxe accommodation. The lady on the message also said that it's not a time share and that there's no obligation to purchase anything and to call back because they can only hold my prize for 24 hours. Sure lady!!! If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is.
I didn't call back either. I got scammed into a timeshare when I was younger so I learned my lesson.- Caller: American West
- JohnThey called today with the same recorded message of my entry was pulled and I won a free trip, not a timeshare......great to hear but never real except a real scam!
- Yvette| 1 replyI Just recieved a call from this number to tell me the same thing. I don't know how all this crap is legal.
- Bryan replies to YvetteI received the same call... But I did call back, they said they are having a seminar about some vacation packages for some new company's grand opening at a local Omni hotel here. And if me and my wife attend we will receive 2 roundtrip airfairs and 3 days 2 nights stay anywhere in the US we choose. with no obligation to purchase anything aslong as we listen to them for 90 minutes. To me sounds like a Timeshare even if they said it wasnt. Today I got a confirmation call from an actual rep. they gave me my confirmation code that I have to give them when I attend the Seminar. I figure its at an actual nice hotel in a conference room. so should be legit. the seminar is tonight so I will update tomm. and let yall know how it goes.
- RickI just received this call, as well. America West promotions. Two roundtrip airfare tickets anywhere in Continental US. 3 days and 2 nights deluxe hotel stay.
Things I noticed:
1) Caller ID came back as "Unknown"
2) They said they pulled my name but never actually stated what my name was on the call.
3) They said that a family member entered but never gave any identifying information
4) They said that the package was only valid for 24 hours. Anyone ever heard of a sweepstakes drawing where the prize had to be claimed within 24 hours????
I didn't call back. This is a major scam. - AndrewSame thing here.
Free Airfare from an airport closest to my home, oh but i got the bonus of a free rental car for 7 days also! right..... - TinaI just got the message today and a coworker advised to google the company before calling back. I googled and found this discussion board. The odd thing is, about a year ago I was on a cruise with Carnival so it sounds almost too good to be true. I can't remember signing up for any sweepstakes to win a free round trip plane ticket plus a free 7 day cruise with Carnival or Royal Caribbean... but I might have. I think this fish is just hungry for a free trip so I may bite.
Deciding if I should call back with caution since no one on here even tried- Caller: Promotional International something
