scam say nephew was in jail and had only one phone call for bail money..states he was in canada

This is a complete scam... I work for a law enforcement agency, & an elderly woman called, concerned that this could be a scam. They told her that they received a call from someone claiming to be her grandson, & that he was in jail in British Columbia. She gave me the number to call 1-877-288-8966, & upon calling it, a man identified it as Wolrige Holding Facility. He said his name was Sgt Jim Lakey(sp?). I told him I was just double checking information, due to all the scams. I then asked them for a specific piece of information that assists law enforcement agencies to contact each other through the computer system, & he said the "f word" & hung up on me! So... yeah... it's a scam... ><
