Got a call on 8/24/07 and again on 8/27/07. In both cases there was no sound.  I called back. There was no ring.. no pickup. Just silence for about a minute than it hung up.

Got a phone call from 877-326-5817 and the same thing.  It hung up as soon as I answered

I have rc'd calls many times from this number, same basic story as above so I stopped answering. Just got another one a few minutes ago, didn't answer.
There was one time about a month ago I answered and they asked me about my Visa Card and gave me last three numbers of card which didn't match, even then, they went on to say I had won a $1000.00 shopping spree and something about 6 mos free website, they were speaking so fast you couldn't get a word in and then asked if I had a checking account--I hung up.  The only reason I listened was I was curious since most of the time these were all hang up calls. This has "SCAM" all over it!!!!

Recieve 4-5 calls a day from this number. The rep on the other end does not have the nerve to initiate the conversation or mumble a word? This is a scam that has resulted from Household Bank (HSBC) selling demographic information on their card holders. Don't exspect them to stop any time soon. I used to manage a call center like this and your number is loaded into a "predictive dialer" that shoots out 5 phone lines at a time. When one picks up the information  (your info) flash's on the $8.00 an hour employee's computer screen. Hence, the delay or hesitation for them to speak.

I have been receiving these calls for the last 4 months.  I am a member of Household bank which validates the above post that they are selling demographic info on their customers.  I answered the first few calls, but there was only dead air - I stopped answering after that.  The calls come every three days or so and when I call back, there is dead air before the line disconnects.  I have filed a complaint with the FCC and I urge you to do the same if you are receiving these annoying calls as well.  The website is: http://www.fcc.gov/cgb/complaints.html

I've been getting these calls multiple times a day for weeks but they always just hang up.  I called back and it doesn't even ring, there's just silence.  What's the point except to annoy you?

same story.  started receiving calls today.  again tried calling back, dead silence and disconnect.  frustrating, but not a bill collector!  :)

received multipul calls from this number. every time i callback no answer or busy tone. i sure am glad its not a bill collector. some advice for everyone, NEVER EVER answer a number only call, unless your possitive you know caller.

I received a call and picked up. They are selling dental insurance. Just dont pick up the call next time.

Telemarketer calls every few days trying to sell something.  He has an accent and I don't understand him.  I won't answer calls from this number again.

received call, asked for me by first and last name, said it was from 'national...' something; doesn't this type of unsolicited call get caught in the do-not-call list? hard to understand how they would get any business by contacting people in this manner.

Keep getting calls from this number on my cell phone, even though it is on the National Do Not Call list.  Just sent an email to FCC describing the situation.  Let's hope FCC gets involved!!

i have been gettin calls from this # every day for weeks now while im at work. i haven't answered b/c i didnt recognize the #. ive tried to call it back to see who it was and like everyone else said it was just dead air. so i decided to answer today to see who it was and they said they were calling from National Congress of Employees. they new my first and last name. i hung up and didn't find out any more info. i hope this doesn't last much longer. its very annoying.
