I got a text from this number saying that it was Chase Bank and I must call immediately for activity on my account. Funny thing is, I do not have an account with Chase Bank. I am wondering if it is one of those schemes where they ask for your personal info to verify that it is you and then BOOM! Your identity has just been stolen. I am not calling it back just to be safe.

i received the same and pressed zero and it said not a valid card number th card would nt b activated and called chased chased said yes it was  a scam ...

yes it's a scam. same thing happened a coupla of months ago, real bank said scam. Notice how they timed it this time for after telephone banking hours, DO NOT give any info, you will find your account drained instantly. Unless you believe someone in nigeria is going to give you 60 billion dollars because you won an internet lottery that you didn't enter.

Got the same thing here. Checked my email and nothing from chase, then googled the number and found this.

I received the same text message, May 22nd at 9:06 pm.  I knew it had to be a scam right away, because my bank does not have the cell phone attached to any of my accounts. So I googled the 877-332-6816 number to see if anyone else has received it too. The sender on the text I rec'd said the same exact thing as "Gayle", who posted about 11 hours ago, only mine said (no name) 3625.  This kind of thing gets real tiresome.  Thank you to every one of you who posted this, so that others can be aware and not get scammed.

Yep, I also got this message.  Logged into my Chase acct - nothing wrong there. Called Chase website's cust svc number also confirmed was a scam.  Got message at 9:20 on Sat 22nd May
