These guys are identity thieves, collect info (date, time number called from) on your caller ID or a note pad and report it to the FCC at http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm. They use multiple 877, 866 and 800 numbers, that's why they are so hard to stop, when one number gets reported too much, they just get a new number. If the FCC can get enough info they might be able to stop them at the source, but it may be too big (or too multinational) to stop. I've tried the telezapper set on three tones and it doesn't even slow them down, not picking up their calls works better, I get fewer calls from them when their calls go unanswered (no voice mail on my line) my next tactic will be to try and get a live person on the phone then blow an old police whistle in their ear, let's see how they like being annoyed.

Have no idea who they are or how they got my number, but I called them back and got a voice mail telling how to be removed, which I did so will have to wait to see if it works.
