- JDP| 4 repliesReceived this piece of mail from the EWS-Vehicle Services Division , Northbrook, IL 60062 which had the number 1-877-334-4872 to call for coverage on my car (but they wanted to know the year, make and model of my car. My husband knew it was a scam so I decided to check this out. The Zip code on the envelope they mailed me is from 92799 - Santa Ana, CA - too far from Illinois where they are supposedly working from. What a joke! The letter says that the factory warranty on my car (CALL TO VERIFY) will expire or have expired based on mileage and/or age. Anyways, in fine print towards the bottom right of their garbage, it is written in italics that This is an advertisement to obtain coverage. Boy oh boy, how many old people fall for this!

- Sick & Tired of BS Scammers!!!I've received 3 identical form letters each with a different spelling of my name from "Vehicle Services Department" telling me that my car's "Service Contract" was going to expire soon.... I called the number (877-334-4872) to find out what's going on because not only do I not own a car, but I don't even have a driver's license... Someone claiming her name is Abigail answered the phone at about 6:15 PM on October 13th, and when I asked her why she scams people, she laughed...

- Annabelle 1518 replies to Norman| 2 repliesNorman - Just want you to know I got a letter from that place today and while I have an extended warranty on my car, it certainly is not with this place that calls themselves "Endurance". I didn't let it go. I called them out on it. I called the number and when the woman who I talked to asked me for a description of my car I said I'd feel better if she gave me the description. "2005 Ford Estate" she said. WRONG. I then called her out on the fake call and she ended up telling me her company has a "AAA rating with the Better Business Bureau". That's my next step. I'm going to follow up on that and just see if that is true. Just thought you'd like to know.
- Kat* replies to Annabelle 1518I really doubt Norman is going to return after 3 years to read your post. As for the "AAA rating with the Better Business Bureau" - well, there's nothing impressive or reassuring about that! The BBB is a worthless, toothless organization whose "ratings" mean diddly-squat.
- BigA replies to Annabelle 1518The BBB does not give out "AAA" ratings. They are single letters "F" through "A" and everything from "D" to "A" can have a "+ or a -"
