Want to know where this call came from and what they were trying to reach me about.

calling me at my work.  Do not want them calling me here.

Called me on my cell phone at 10am...I answered it...was nothing but static for a full 2 mins.

This number has been calling me on my cell for several weeks now. It's nothing but static every time, and today alone they have called me at least 6 times. This is getting very old.

This obvious a home phone. The answer I recieve is a fax number calling me.

Same story: repeated calls of nothing but static.  I called the phone company and they said they could not block.  So, I called the number back.  The guy who answered was polite and straightforward.  They were looking for somebody I had not heard of before, and when I explained he was not at this number, he said they'd take us off the list.  Assuming that actually happens, it's a fairly painless solution.

Every time they call I just get a message with constant stati. I called them back to figure out what the heck this was...
Says they are "Bay Area Credit" trying to collect a debt in my name. They gave me the last 4 of my social, an old address, and said the debt was in reference to my current checking account! They have the number and everything. My bank knows nothing about it- I think it is a scam.
