today,(9/21/07), "they" started calling at 8 a.m. and keep calling every 45 minutes or so. last night,"they" called at 9:05 p.m.(I answered the phone, and "they" hung up).

They have been calling every 21 minutes, driving me nutz

I am getting calls from them all the time.

Who are these people?

Called my son's cell phone and asked about his car loan and asked for his SSN.

It is the creditor CREDIT ACCEPTANCE. Call the number back. It tells you right of way. PAY you car loans and they won't call you.

This is not true b/c we have no car loans.  It's most likely a scammer or phisher trying to get your personal information.  Careful for identity theft.  But this needs to stop!

I just bought prepaid service on this phone, didn't tell ANYONE the number, and started getting calls from them.

Hey I make my car payments and on time and I still get that stupid phone call......

This number calls my business atleast 5 times a day asking for an employee.  The employee was late last month on his payment and he did send his payment in, yet were still getting these calls.  I told the gentleman on the phone that my employee was unable to get personal calls while at work, especially when I have many different people calling him from the same company.  I told him I realized he must be a credit collector, but he would have to "catch" my employee by other means.

i just started getting calls from them a few days ago. today, they called 17 times, every 7 minutes.. i had three voice messages with silence. what is this number??

Just started receiving calls from this number.  A user at another website claimed to have traced it to an outfit called Credit Acceptance Corp, 25505 W.Twelve Mile Road P.O. Box 513, Southfield, Michigan 48037, but I cannot verify this through the usual "reverse look-up" web sites without paying (one website wanted to charge $250.00 for this info!!).  Entering the name provided by this person returns the same address, but a different 800 phone number.  At any rate, this is an outfit I have never even heard of.  Judging from this, and other websites I have visited, it has the potential for becoming a big problem.  Does anyone know of a service like YOUMAIL that works with land-line phones?
NOTE: FYI, YOUMAIL is a free service that redirects calls from a specific number(s) to a special voice mail that delivers a customized message and then (optional) hangs up!  Unfortunately, YOUMAIL only works with cell phones. A land-line version of this would be GREAT for calls like this.

They've called me 4 times so far today…every 18 minutes! I do have a loan with Credit Acceptance and spoke with them yesterday about my loan and they assured me that I was up to date and would not receive a call again for another month to make sure I was planning on paying my November bill.

I have a hard time believing it's actually Credit Acceptance. They've left messages on my cell before when it was them. I personally wish they'd stop harassing me! (But I guess that's what happens when you live in a [***] economic world and are trying to stay honest with your bills but fall behind anyway)

We just got a new cell phone three days ago and these people have been calling us 6-10 time a day ever since day one. There has to be a way to put a stop to them!

THEY CALL ME EVERY DAY I DONT OWE THEM ANY THING I TOLD THEM MY SON DOSENT LIVE HERE ANYMORE AND I WANT HELP THEM BECAUSE THEY ARE HARRASING ME

They have called me from a different 877 number before several times. I logged a complaint with the CFF ( http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm )and eventually they stopped. Its been a few months and they are now calling from this number but now they arent leaving voicemail messages like last time. Please report them to the FCC. Enough complaints might help solve the problem or at least they will get fined.
Also make sure your cell is on the National-Do-Not-Call Registry so that you may lodge a complaint. Under no circumstance are they allowed to use profanity!

we are caught up on our car payment with credit acceptance although i get calls on when were going to make the payment its not dude yet

We have a car loan with Credit acceptance and have made all of our payments on time since day one. (it's been over a year.) No one calls us or bothers us. We have NEVER gotten a call from them for anything. SO I assume that all the calls you people are getting are due to unpaid bills. Try making a payment, see what happens.

this number still calls even when the payment isnt due same thing over and over oh well
