Received a call saying he was with Premium Technical Support for Comcast and that my email account was "shooting out spam emails" and that he had to take control of my computer to fix it! comcast said not legitimate.  Avoid these people!

This joker called from INDIA & claimed to be a technician & wanted to get my approval to get  into my computer  to "fix" the problem.

I immediately told him "no, I have one person ONLY that works on my computer so give me you phone # & I will have him call you.

He started cussing & beligerent so I hung up on him.  This by the way is NOT the first we've received calls from this number.

DO NOT FALL FOR ANY OF THIS YOU WILL GET ROBBED.

Number came up on my iPad saying there was an error with IOS. Called the number, said there was a problem with my application and wanted my credit card number to fix it for $79.99 - total scam!!!!! Do NOT pay them!

Plus moyen d'actualiser ma page internet.  Ca demeure bloqué sur ce message me disant d'appeler à ce numéro afin de résoudre le problème…  J'ai appelé mais pas de réponse.  Mon cell est toujours "gelé" sur ce message……………..

This guy attempted taking my credit card info and told he could fix my phone THROUGH A CALL. I realized this was a hacker when he started asking for my credit card info. He has my apple id though, should i be worried?

Got the same thing on my iPhone 6, reset and cleared history now my phone is fine!  I looked up the number and didn't call thanks to these posts.

On my iPad. Alert that there is a 3rd party app and for me to call this#. Glad I'm skeptical, and thanks to the reports here, I'm not calling. Problem is I cannot close the page/tab without restarting. Aggravating, but do-able. Hate scammers.

I got a "firewall-error-alert.com" notice on my iPhone 5 when I clicked on a news article. The notice said: "Due to a 3rd party application in your phone, iOS crashed. Contact support for immediate fix. Call 1-877-343-6399 (toll free immediately). Seems fishy. Just read the above comments and I see that it's a scam.  Thanks.

Same thing happened to me today!! 07-23-15! When I called.. INDIA... The guy wanted sane smiunt to fix each computer based item!  When I refused, he got upset!! Told me I " HAD TO ACT NOW OR I WOULD JUST GET THE SAME MESSAGE AND WOULDNT BE ABLE TO USE ANY OF THEM !!" I told him I would just go to the Apple store to get assistance!! He said  " THEYLL JUST TELL YOU WHAT I JUST TOLD YOU!! YOU HAVE TO ACT IMMEDIATELY!! " told him NO I'm NOT paying you a cent!! He got mad and I hung up!!  MAJOR SCAM !! DONT BE FOOLED SCAM ON iPHONE!!

I had the same problem, couldn't get rid of the pop-up message so I went to my internet browser settings and cleared all history and website data. So far it seems to have worked.

I got exactly the same message on my iPad.  I pinched the browser screen slightly to collapse down to the view that displays all the open Web pages. Then I found the page "firewall- error-alert.com" and simply closed it.

Was on my iPhone looking things up online and got a pop up claiming my iOS crashed due to a third party and call this number. I called no one answered and there wasn't no intro about it having to do with Apple at all. once I called the pop up is now gone and I can use safari again.

Same thing happened to me just now! He wanted 88 dollars!!!

This also happened to me. So far, I've not been able to get my iPad to restart.  May have to make a trip to the Apple store.
