Yes i just recived one today i didnt answer because i dont know the number i couldnt really understand the voicemail that was left but it was a robot voice and when i called back the guy that answered said thank you for calling CRA i have never heard of this pls e before

This guy tried convincing me I owe CRA (Canada Tax people) money. When I called him out, asking when my taxes were filed, he said it was, "for a joke"
A stressful, "you owe months worth of earnings/are going to jail" 20 minute joke

Just had missed call from this number. I called back and he said it was CRA. He asked what number it was that called. Asked for my name but he couldn't understand so I hung up. Had a bad feeling and definitely wasn't giving out more info

Call from CRA, the guy spoke English with a big indian (India) accent, his name was Peter Samson (nothing indian in that name)... His way of payments was for me to go to the supermarket and buy 30 cards of $100... Guess what the name of the card was... ITUNES!!! Like I am going to pay my income tax with ITUNES card!!!

Got the same message two days in a row, tried to scare me by saying that if i ignore this call good luck with the consequenses. when i call back the line cuts after ringing every time. gave up trying, good luck to them trying to scare me off

Got a call 2 days in row.  First day I got a message and called back and was surprised someone picked up directly since it was a 1 877 with no extension number.  The guy had a thick Indian accent and had difficulty articulating what he wanted to say.  I know the government is hurting for money but I didn't think they outsourced collections to a Call Centre in India (due to privacy issues they would never do that).   Every interaction I've ever had with the CRA who was public facing, has been someone with good communication skills.  Out of all the Canadians they could hire to collect money over the phone, they hire someone who can barely speak English?  Total Scam!  Our connection wasn't good and combined with his strong accent I couldn't hear him very well and kept asking him to repeat himself.  He finally got frustrated  and hung up.  I just ignored the second call.
