Called office, no one answered in response to my greeting.  I don't wait around, if you're not there when I answer, you get hung up on.  Scam of some sort I'm sure; CID said 800 Service and have never had a legitimate call from that CID.

Keeps calling about bogus multiple infractions and threaten to send sheriff to serve papers or arrest you. Won't state who they're calling for or what the infractions are. Then they ask if you'd like to settle the matter  (meaning pay some fee or amount). Clearly it's a scam and only idiots will believe these calls.

These are crooks running an extortion scam.  They don't care about breaking the law and they certainly don't care what you want.

I also have multiple infractions and abuses of my social security number, but I can possibly eliminate legal action if I would settle with Mr. McGregor prior to the court date.  How fortunate!

This fool keeps calling and can't keep his name straight. Same voice but he has been Robert McGregor, Brian Kelly, and Brian McMillan. Insists I have a warrant out for my arrest for some payday loan debt that I do not have. I have never had a payday loan, so that is impossible.
Yesterday he left a threatening voice mail about having been granted access to my home. Said I needed to call another number and speak to Miss Franklin to resolve the matter before I go to jail and all my possessions seized.
I made a police report and was told I wasn't the only one to make a report on these people and that they had an active investigation going on the matter, but just try to ignore it best I could for the moment.
This has been going on for nearly 2 years, they call me constantly, my mother, brother, sister, step-mother, several friends and my boss.
This nightmare started with a woman calling herself Det. Sharon Jackson, when I didn't bite she told me that she would be sending a social worker to my house shortly to take my kids because I was going to jail. She had my SS# and home address and obviously a slew of numbers for my friends and relatives. So this is kind of hard to just ignore.
This has gone far beyond the occasional annoying scam call, it has turned into some sort of creepy stalking harassment.
You would think after all this time they would realize they are not getting a dime from me...but alas...they just keep raising the humiliation/scare tactics instead.
To the people who are also dealing with these scam artists. I feel for you and wish you luck!

First, you should make a complaint at this Federal Agency, and while there you should also read up on how debt collection is supposed to work as well as what your rights in this matter are:  http://www.consumerfinance.gov/

Also file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office.

Robert McGregor phone and stated that I have several infractions against me and would be sending a sheriff to my home or work. I phoned back and left a message and asked him to send it in writing via email. Then called back and when he answered, asked him to email it and he hung up on me.

Robert McGregor called me from Civil Claims Recovery...  He was another name/different company a few months ago...  he's calling because of the multiple infractions/cases pending against me.  Wont say who, amount or anything else.  He said they are pending legal action against me and will serve me either at work or home.   This has to be a scam....  he keeps changing his name and company.... and after at least 2 years or so of calling me I still haven't been served or mailed any legal action papers.... they do have phone number for my parents who are elderly and shouldn't be getting this kind of calls....   not sure what to do.  When I try to report them it comes back they are unable to locate this company/person.

Block & ignore.  You know no one is coming.  Servers do not call first (illegal threat).  Try reporting to your state attorney general.

Recorded message stating they will be delivering a package to either my home or my work in the next 24hrs. They require 2 forms of ID and a witness when I sign for the package. LOL This is interesting especially since I am disabled and do not work. The message also gives this number 877.350.5011 to call if I have any questions. I know this is a scam. I read all the other posts and didn't see any like what I have experienced.
