THis man has been calling and calling saying that I am supposed a summons to appear. That he is going to my house and if he does not find me at home he will come to my job. He does not give me the name of the company he is with but I called the # and it's a recording. National Check Recovery Services. But I did some investigating here online and came up that other people have encountered this problem but under another #. I am not sure that this is a fraud or legit. help please. From what everyone else is saying it's a fraud. but im confused. I am not paying for something that is not mines..

I have been receiving rude phone messages and call from this company as well. I found out today that they are a FRAUD!!! The creditors they claim I owe money to are already paid in full and have verified with me that I owe them nothing and they have never heard of this National Check Recovery Services. I have 5 business involved in this matter and they all inform me to file a fraud complaint with my local sheriff office. This company has threatened to repo a house that my mother sold 20 years ago and threatened to go to my job. I told them go ahead because I do not work I am on disability. LOL!!!!!!! NATIONAL CHECK RECOVERY SERVICES IS A FRAUD!!! They say they are not a collection agency just a legal company who tries to settle accounts before they go to court.

The two people who call me give their names as Sam Marley and Robert Hawk.

Have been receiving calls for several weeks now from a blocked number, some guy says I am about to be taken to court and he needs to come serve me papers. He keeps calling my mother-in-law's house, not sure how he got the number except that we have an uncommon last name so there are only 1 or 2 listings in the phone book. My mother-in-law told him on several occasions that I do not live at her residence and cannot be reached at her number, and the guy called her a liar and said he had already spoken to my grandmother who told him that I did in fact live there. Since one of my grandmothers died in 1992 and the other died in 1999 I am not sure how exactly he spoke to my grandmother, but he needs to stop harassing my mother-in-law.

Last week he left a message that he would be at either my job or my residence on Monday (today) between 10 and 2 to serve the court papers and that I needed to make arrangements to be there when he showed up. I have been out of work for the last 4 1/2 years so he's more than welcome to show up at my "job"- hell, if I had a job then I would be happy to meet the guy there....

Then this morning he left another message that he would be at my residence at 2pm today to serve the papers and that if I was not there then he would "surrender the papers as a refusal to sign". I never refused to sign a thing, I don't even know who this guy is or who he works for, all he says in his messages is that "his client" can be reached at 877-350-4058.

Anyway, it is now 2:45, 45 min past the 2pm time he said he was going to show up, and he has not yet done so. All the other complaints I've seen said that the guy NEVER shows up, and that they receive a lot less calls after the date the guy was supposed to show up. I sure hope so because it upsets me that my mother-in-law keeps getting these harassing calls at all hours of the day and night. Hopefully it is someone just trying to scare you into paying them by telling you they are going to show up at your house.

So I'm taking it, this guy never shows up at your house or job then?

A message was left on my answering machine stating that a person, not living in my household,
had a problem which required serving legal documentation and court appearance.  The man identified
himself as Robert Houk (or Howk) and left this phone number to call, including a "case number",to resolve the matter.

I didn't call and was grateful to have the information about this scam.

This man Robert Hawk called a former boss that happens to still be a friend of mine and told him that I was in trouble and going to court. Then he called my home phone and left a message on my answering machine stating that I needed to be in court on Tuesday and that he was serving me by phone for a legal matter.

This man was very rude and did not really know who's number he was calling since our phone number is not in my name. I do not know what debt he is talking about. The only debt I had like that was in the past and I paid it off in full and have receipts from the District Attorney to prove it.

It scares me a little because he is very persistant and says that he will come to your house but then he never did. Also, when I checked the court records I was not on the docket!

I received a call 3 weeks ago. They left a message on my answering machine telling me they were coming to my house at 2PM and to have my ID ready (LOL). THEY WILL NEVER SHOW UP because they're not even in your State.................Total scam!!!!!!!!

National Check Recovery Services is a complete scam. They have called me a few times this year. Each time they use a different name and a different phone number. They keep changes thier number because pepole "google it" and relize it's a scam. DO NOT RETURN THIRE CALLS OR THEY'LL NEVER LEAVE YOU ALONE!!!!!!!
