Just got the same call

I was told that if I didn't make a good faith payment on a loan I can't remember ever taking out they would send the  sheriff to my place of employment or home to deliver summons to appear in court.  It sounded so real that I stupidly gave them my debit card number and agreed to pay two payments to clear the debt.  Very threatening. Tried to call the number back and the name of the company was not attached to the number.

Cancel your card IMMEDIATELY! Inform your financial institution of the fraudulent withdrawals; they may be able to get your money back for you.
And NEVER pay someone who calls claiming you owe money. Tell them to follow the law by MAILING your proof of the debt.
Oh, and REAL process servers don't call in advance because then you could simply avoid them.

They only told me that they are a lawyers firm calling from POS to collect on a debt. I told them that I didn't have any loan. I asked for details,their address. Then they got aggressive, told me good luck and hung up on me.
