Yes, I guess you must be young but as everyone else knows this is simply junk mail.  The next time you get junk mail simply throw it away, don't worry yourself over it, and then move on with your life.

Don't just throw it. Don't open it but write on the envelope.  "Refused, Return to Sender".  Makes them have to pay the return postage

They are going by Sky Protection (previously SP Protection?) now. Address is still out of Schaumburg, Illinois.

The letter claimed that the letter was sent to prevent a lapse in vehicle protection and that they claimed that my father (the letter was addressed to him, about his truck) had not contacted them to activate a vehicle service agreement for said truck. He was asked to call and have his VIN number handy to activate coverage and that if he did not activate said coverage, he would be at risk of being financially liable for any and all repairs (paying out of pocket) once the factory warranty ran out. Also mentioned that he still had time to activate the service contract before it was too late and that no vehicle inspection was required. They claimed that this would probably their only attempt to contact him about said vehicle service contract. A deadline of February 16 was also mentioned.

Most of these scam car warranty sellers, no matter the company name, use this same or similar wording.
