    Got this error 0x8007ee7 on my laptop  indicating it was from Microsoft with a recorded woman's voice saying that the computer was infected and needed to call this number as soon as possible. it appeared my computer was locked out too but did some googling as I was suspicious and found the way to unlock it without calling them. I'm in the process now of running a scan and will try to find the program that was downloaded to my laptop and remove it.

    It was not a program it was an ad on a page you visited.  Install an ad blocker and you will never see one of those again.
