The company asked me for my credit card. To pay . For a credit card. They said is passed due.Sense 2013. Or they are going to call me to court. If I didn't give my credit card number over the phone.

Continually calls my #, says serving me with a summons to court. UMM issue here is I don't owe anything so again wrong Nb.  So go ahead and feel free to try and serve a summons to court.  What a JoKe!!

Left recording saying that they are serving me with a summons at my home and/or at work.  SCAMLEGAL

Left voice mail saying they would be serving a summons either at my home or work and I needed to be available with 2 forms of ID. If they showed up at my work, a supervisor would have to sign off as a witness.

IF there was a summons, you would NOT be warned.  Block them!

I keep receiving calls from 877-369-7917 but I don't answer because I don't recognize the number.  They never leave a message.

So block the number.

I received a call from 877-369-7917 yesterday. They left the same message about a summons being served at home or work and needing an ID or something like that. I wasn't sure if this was a call for us or someone who previously had this phone number (this is a new phone number for us) so I called back and spoke to a Jessica who said she was with Kirkland, Lewis and Associates. I'm glad I checked this out online. Apparently this is some kind of a scam.

Let a message about serving me at home or work and my supervisor will have sign as witness.  No, i don't owe anyone this is a crock scare tactic.

Unfortunately, you can not block calls that come through as 'Private-Number'. Any other options? I start getting these every year when tax season hits. I get panic attacks, then realize that this is just a scam.

Just because your call blocker won't do it does not mean that it cannot be done.  I used to do it all the time when I had a landline.  I also think that there are apps out there for cell phones that will do it as well.  You just have to look for this stuff.

The company called me yesterday and left a message, When I called back to verify what this was about, They told me, That they where preparing to take me to court over a credit card that was was closed 6 years ago,.. told them that they where prohibited from contacting me in anyway since the card was declared in Bankruptcy,The person got very pushy on the phone and demanded me to pay the balance, I asked for the name of the company, They hung up on me,  I called once more and asked to speak with a supervisor , And was to Happy in to inform them that I will be waiting with my attny to see them in court, That I would be the one getting money.. SMM

Exactly .. Block them !! Servers don't warn you , they just show up ..

Called my cell and work today, left the same message. Kind of scared the crap out of me too. I have a friend that used to buy old debt and try to collect but she never used these tactics.
