- CCGot same calls today 1/12/2022, first call said I was going to be served a summons and they wanted to make sure I would be home. I asked who was serving it and they gave me the 877-369-9610 number. I called and they said I owed money for a Master Card which I never had one and that if i didn't appear in court they would get a judgement and put a lien on my house. They knew my husbands name also and my credit score. I believe they were looking right at my credit report because they knew different area's i have lived in also. They said they were from Trenton and Associates from Los Angelas CA. I looked them up and didn't come up with anything with that name.

- AnnetteGot a call from an unavailable number that said I was being sued and would be served with papers soon. If I wanted to know more about the case, I would have to call Trenton and Associates Lawfirm at 877-369-9610. I called them. They said they were recording the call for quality and training purposes. I gave them the case file number and was told I was being sued for $11,516.46 for a credit card from a bank I've never done business with. He said that the bank sueing me was going to put a lien on my car and bank account, and that deputies would be serving me soon. When I told him I had no idea who this bank or credit card was he started giving me four different bank names. None of which I've either heard of or have done business with. He said, "Wooooww. Guess you're just going to have to take your chances in court. Good luck'" and hung up on me.

- Mākālani| 2 repliesI got a call yesterday from some woman named Garcia claiming she was a processor and that it was an attempt to serve me court documents and need to call the number 877-369-9610. I called a man named Jeremy told me I owed a debt and had to pay by today I said I couldn’t he told me call back by 4 pacific standard time to confirm I had the payment if nothing I would be served court papers. He was short tempered and rude. I said he’d work with me. I kept my promise and called back around 2 and he was said we already made an agreement I said no we didn’t and I was calling to tell him I couldn’t get the money so how does the court processing work? He got upset and started attitude with me while I was panicking and crying not understanding any of this. He said do you need more time? I said yea but I need you to explain the court I don’t understand so just take me to court. He raised his voice at me said I’ll give you more than a week I’ll give you month and slammed the phone down then hung up on me. Then today , I get another call from a mr. Murphy claiming that we need to resolve this I need to call them back ASAP. I haven’t called back because why would you tell at me and hang up on me when I was trying to cooperate I. Something I truly couldn’t understand. I told them my husband had died last year.
So I made few calls and googled Trenton associates and the phone I was to call. They were calling from a blocked number .
Now I see many people got the call the same days as myself 1/12/2022 and 1/13/2022- Caller: Trenton and associates Jeremy and Mr. Murphy

- Cwills replies to KDHUnbelievable! These people are horrible. I myself am a new widow & they called me & my HR department yesterday. I'm so grateful for this thread and upon reading everyone's posts was able to determine it's a scan. I'm still in mourning & now this. But to call from your husband's number is far past scare tactics, that is disgusting & inhumane. Karmas coming for sure.
- BennySame as everyone else. Lady named Miranda said she was process server called to see if I would be home. Told me to call this number & give them a reference number. Freaked out I called them. Guy going by Mike told me I was being sued for a debt from like 20 years ago. Had last four of my social. I asked him for their information, address, license # etc. He would not give me anything. Just asked if I was willing to negotiate. Told him no way. This has scam written all over it. have reported them. Beware every one.

- BethanySo I get a voicemail from Hannah Smith as a notice process server that I have a debt that I will be served on from my county. And to call back to 877-369-9610 and reference my case number. I've been sick with COVID and just checking my voicemails. I call and speak to the RUDEST young man who immediately catches an attitude with me and tells me I am talking out of my neck and refusing to pay my debt. He has the worst attitude and berates me for the few minutes I stay on the phone. I hang up after he refuses to give me his name and keeps referring back to paperwork that he claims was delivered to me in November. I call back and speak to his Director "Jeremy" who proceeds to tell me it is non of my fing business to know who I spoke with, I of course hang up. First dude calls back and says I heard you spoke to my director and are still refusing to pay the debt. I ask for his name again and he refuses and keeps berating me and says it is all in the paperwork and screams at me that I have it and quit lying. He further tells me that he is going to call my mortgage company and notify them that I am refusing to pay a debt. Joke's on him! I called my banker friend and my fraud investigator friend to report the scam.

- Brenda replies to Mākālani| 1 replyThat’s horrible!! That is illegal for them to threaten you and use these scare tactics. Look up the laws in your state. My father, who is older, is receiving the same phone calls. I knew it was a scam the moment I asked for them to send me a validation letter (required by law when asked). They refused to do so. Please, NEVER pay anyone over the phone. Always ask for proof. Anything official or legal should and would come through the mail and not through any other source. They can be reported to your local attorney general office. If possible, record phone calls, get names and dates of these incidents. Google laws for consumers in your state. Be informed so that you are not a victim of these frauds and schemers.
- Umm replies to BrendaFederal Law supersedes State Law in 45 states and the District of Columbia.
- Stephanie| 1 replyI also received one of these calls. 2 calls from an unknown number with a voicemail, a woman talking very fast citing a "Miranda Summons" and providing a case and callback #. I called back. Spoke to a Christopher Hernandez who hung up on me when I started asking questions about this so called debt I owed. He said there was a summons for me in a civil court of a county I have never heard of, and said multiple attempts to collect this debt via mail have been made (to an address I have lived at for 3 weeks). He kept demanding to know if I had a means to pay the debt, then hung up on me when I asked for information regarding the debt.

- B-Edwards replies to StephanieI don't think there is such a thing as a "Miranda Summons", but sure sounds impressive and scary. Might make a good name for an adult film star.
