I got a call this past Monday from an Inspector Murdock, he also called my roommate stating she was harboring a person committing fraud.  They state I owe for a payday loan with Global pay loans..A company I have never heard of.  They know alot of my personal info that scares me.  I have filed bankruptcy and paid off loans so I am not sure if this is legit or not.  They will not send me anything in writing and made up an amount of $702 owed.  I have never owed a loan in that amount.  When I try to get info as to where they are located I was told they work in all counties of WI and nothing more.  I was also told to go and get a prepaid debit card and call back within 24 hours with that card number to set up payments or pay in full.  Sounds like a scam to me...and easy way to scare people into paying over the phone and then untraceable.  I am unsure what to do.  If I owe it I will pay it, but I want proof in writing as I have never had any calls from the loan company itself.  I find it hard to believe it just goes to this crazy collecting company and handled this way.

Totally laughable!  They called looking for my sister stating they were a "chief" investigator looking for her and that a case has been filed against her social security #.  First of all, it was a BLOCKED number they called from, if it was a legitimate company, they wouldn't do that.  The only way I got the number was to listen to the very threatening message that stated if you don't call within 24 hours that they have "no choice but to send it to the court" & "you have been served".  Absolutely NO specific details about anything.  Would love to get a hold of the company information and file formal a complaint for their tactics.  Totally trying to use scare tactics to get results.  I literally laughed at the message, but I wonder how many people fall for it and get suckered in?!!?

I got a call from Special Investigator Murdoch who said that he was with the Tarrant County Courts.  He was tying to get in touch with my wife who supposedly owed some money to a payday loan company. When i asked him to send me some paperwork indicating or proving that she did in fact owe the bill, he got mad at me and said that he had to talk to my wife only! I Got suspicious of him and called the Tarrant County Court and got transferres to 4 different offices until i was put in touch with a real Invesitigator from Special crimes. I told him i was trying to locate this Murdoch and was having difficulty in doing so.  The reason was that HE DOES NOT WORK THERE!  He is a lowly Debt collector using scare tactics to get money by saying that we needed to use a credit card or debit card to pay a bill or a warrant was going to be issued ASAP!!  Murdoch told me that he was a special investigator BUT told the real investigator that he never said that!! Bull! He might be a real special investigator in his own mind, but be on the watch for what he says.  You need to record his threats and or using his supposed title with the DA's office in order to shut him down!

This is the same guy that called and threatened myself and then called my roommate doing the same.  We both contacted the police and I then called Bureau of Consumer Protection.  They are currently investigation my claim.  I too asked for proof which he of course could not do.  He couldn't even tell me what my "loan" balance was.  Just said I have paperwork for this internet loan and they want their money.  I had never heard of the payday loan. My attorney called Murdoch in which the "investigator" started to scream at my attorney and then hung up.  Must not want the money to bad if truly owed if you are not willing to provide simple information to prove this debt is legit.  Watch out for these people.  Appears to be a scam because they of course will only take a credit card or debit card over the phone and say you have to do this in 24 hours or you will be arrested the next day.  You have to be served and then appear in court.  People can't just come and arrest you for a debt.

I have a recording of a call from the same number of a female calling herself special investigator Carter. They were looking for someone I have never heard of. They gave a case number and I called back - I wanted to let them know they had the wrong phone number. The message said I reached the dept of CMS. I googled it but couldn't find anything that made sense.
This has to be a total scam. If anyone needs the message to prove they are calling themselves special investigaters, I saved it; just leave a note here.

That bogus collection agency they claimed is associated with cms and they called first tier agency is just an empty lot or crack house probably where Murdoch, Carter and all scumbags spent their childhood and also where their relatives still live. The company doing this kind of scam is Midland Credit Management with locations in Cali and Ax I think a simple look up on the web can provide u with their physical address. As every debt collector Ive known dealt and brought to justice they are only a bunch of small minded and drug users people with the exception of one or two convicted felons who seem to for very well in the general ambiance of that sweat shop in Aero Dr.  If they refused to validate the debt is because they can't so next iime they call send a warm regard to Mr Murdochs mommy and tell them to f... off, literally anybody interested in getting prove about this scam I will make details public after my lawsuit against MCM fructifies

Got a call from these guys too.  I have agreed to pay back the original amount of the loan $350.  He said once this is done, the debt will be paid.  I'll see about this, considering how many different collection agencies this payday-loan-yes.com has used.  I highly doubt I'll see the end of this debt until they make a profit to boot.  Either way proper complaints have been filed with the county attorney, state attorney, and local police.

Caller ID showed number withheld, but the message left on my phone gave 877-418-8607. Message was from a woman who identified herself as Case Investigator Carter. She said there were 4 serious complaints filed against my SSN in King County (WA). She then left a case number similar to a court number but I knew it was fake. Gave me 24 hours to call back or they would file charges against me. There was no company info given, which is illegal in WA state. Called back but recording said the mailbox was full

Here is the problem with the idiots that keep saying pay your bill and you won't be bothers. Most of these people weren't even the ones that owed the money. I got four phone calls today alone for my ex daughter-in-law, so why am I getting these phone calls? Do you think I keep track of her bills and what she owes, maybe so because you guys don't know what common sense is and don't know what it is.

    Hugh Jorgan
Never used any payday loan companies ever. Identified self as investigator Turner with calling a relative's cell phone number today, saying there were some heavy allegations against me in Nevada. Of course, they needed my SSI#.
If they are looking for a Hugh Jorgan, I'll give them one when they bend over.

I was one of you guys thinking that I wouldnt pay my pay-day loan until I received a knock on my door yesterday to appear at court. So my $450.00 pay- day loan just turned into $6600.00 and community service. So I would like to thank you cause I read this and didnt pay it when I was called. And by the way if you think for one minute that wont be you-THINK AGAIN- I got the call two months ago and this happened yesterday. So for all of you who ignored the call GOOD LUCK- and hope your not me. If you can fix it then I would fix it now.

So... You actually owed the money and you didn't pay it back and you chose to try to ignore it and got burned... Good Job.
Most of the people on here DON'T owe the money (Unlike you), yet you chose to imitate their innocence and not pay. Hahahahahaha, Go back to the phones. It's collector scum like you that give collections a bad name.
