Caller wouldn't give any info-- just said they were calling from long distance from 'Metropolitan'.

I reverse traced the number.
This tel. no. is for "Metropolitan Credit Adjusters",
I assume a collection company.

Received call from someone sounding very desperate to speak with me.  I know this is collections related, just can't recall which account it's for.  Doubt I'll be talking to them anytime soon, but it's nice to have a better idea which firm this is.

Looks like they're still after me.. Have yet to speak with any of their rep's; and quite frankly - I don't intend to!

Still, the game continues onwards... They continue to call...

For anyone looking for info on how best to deal with these collection turds, have a look at this site: http://www.canadian-money-advisor.ca  It's run by a fellow named Monty Loree, and offers quite a bit of information to the average Joe at no cost - the site also has Forums, Blogs and more..  I've taken part in the discussions and have learned quite a bit about the collection laws.  My guess is that you'll find something that pertains to your personal situation.

Metropolitan credit - stop leaving messages on my work phone James - I am not calling you back - I know my rights and you are violating them.  Your voice, trying to sound "authoritative" and "demanding"  is hilarious.  With the $10 per hour basic "income" you make, I can certainly understand why you are in your office and sounding sooo desperate on New Year's Eve, trying to top up your bottom feeder commissions on this, the last day of 2010.  (You will notice I said "make" twice, not EARN - you produce nothing and contribute nothing to society).  People, as noted by one and the same, to to Monty Loree's sight and learn your rights.  You do NOT even have to answer the phone or talk to these people.

Thanks for the above info guys (as well as the "whocallsme" site).  The info on these sites has been really helpful.    Now there is a Doug Stone calling from Metropolitan Credit at that number - the debt has nothing to do with me,  but despite being told this previously, they still continue to hound my number all day!!  You can sure tell these people earn a low wage, and then supplement it with commission on what they collect from the newly economically challenged souls - as well as the uninformed suckers.  These calls always  increase just before the 15th and end of the month paydates LOL - it  does make them sound so desperate rather than "authoritative"!  I guess if that is how the rest of us were forced to "make" our living (as per Joe's "comments" above), we would be sounding desperate too.  Pass along the info to check the Provincial laws that affect you before saying a word, confirming your identity, or paying or agreeing to pay anything!!  Use the money wisely to talk to a lawyer briefly instead of giving it to any of  the sharks.  Hopes this helps anyone else getting these calls through no fault of their own.

Debt collector

Don't even answer these calls they are a scam artist group with nothing better to do than bother people in the evenings. They are the ones that should be looking over their shoulder because they are committing felonies every time they attempt to contact someone.
Under no circumstances give these people any information just hang up they will get give up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
