no name when the guy left a message, said they had tried calling numerous times -- they are now processing legal action and If I have filed council to have them call back. No company name listed, again no name to ask for if I called back. I have never had this number call my cell phone either -- so how many numbers do they have? It is ALWAYS a scam if they try to tell you that they are processing legal action against you. I don't have any debts and if I did, it would be a letter in the mail or on my credit report.

The number is probably being spoofed by some shady debt collector because according to hotfrog.com, the number belongs to Titanium Imageworks in Charlotte, NC.

Been getting increasingly threatening calls from these people today's message said they couldn't talk about the case then proceeded to say that since I had not responded to previous calls they have no choice but to move forward. I don't return calls from unsolicited unknown numbers without seeing something in writing delivered by us mail as is required of anyone wanting money from me by law. Oh and as recommended by their message my attorney will be calling them back tomorrow morning.

What ended up happening when your attorney called? I got the same message from the same phone number.

Caller left an odd voice mail threatening to take further actions however, no name was given nor was a company name or business name offered. Caller left 1.877.423.6383 as their call back number. Caller implied that I've been avoiding their calls however, to my knowledge this is the first call I've received from this unknown business. It's impossible to keep track of who has called when they don't identify themselves or, state a title or business name. Call back number appears as a bunch of zeros and I never return those calls, whether they are legit or not.

My attorney didn't even call them I played the message for him and he immediately told me to ignore them, and to read my rights as per the FDCPA. Essentially a real collection agency is required to send you something in writing, phone calls are not a means of legally contacting someone. And using a pre recorded message or "robo call" is not legal and that is compounded by the fact they call my cell phone. At any rate he told me to file a complaint with the ftc and because they robo called my cell phone also a complaint with the fcc.

The exact same messages as the other complaints above.  These are being received on a new cell phone number.

So, I get a call from this person who says that I have a breach of contract and that I needed to call so they can hear my side of the story before the move forward, or to have my lawyer to contact them.That is what the message said anyways. I have called back and left my name and number 3 times and haven't got a response. Scam or not? Anyone else get a call from these people? I am sure I have no such breach of contract.

Yes, most likely a scam of some kind.  Read the other posts.  If there were a civil breach of contract case against you, you would have received letters from the attorney for the other party.  There would be an attempt at negotiation and a paper trail.  This is just a cold call by scammers meant to scare you into paying them something.  Legally it means nothing.    Don't fall for it.  Ignore the calls and block the numbers.

This "breach of contract" nonsense has a history on 800notes.  The entity involved is usually something called " ACS".  No idea what that stands for or where they are located.

Just because a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt does not mean you owe it
If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:

1.    Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
2.     Demand a debt validation letter by US mail.  E-mail no good.
3.    Do not pay  the collection agent or anyone else a  DIME  until the debt is validated.

Of course they won’t do this, no scammer ever will, so simply block their calls and ignore them.

If they continue to bother you, and you know you do not owe any money,  tell them that you know this is  a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion.  You might have to yell at them and talk over them.  Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the  file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved.   Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.

Recently, these folks called me about an old debt. I've had many financial issues since Katrina mostly related to four layoffs post hurricane, but have made every effort to repay everything and have almost done so. However, I lost my head a moment and paid them a settlement amount without asking for verification. (something I'll never do again)  They promised me they would automatically send the payoff confirmation letter but never did so and now I can't find them. From now on, with no verification or proof you are legit, then no money from me. Period!!!
