Called this number this AM to see who they were - person answered "First source".
Looked them up & found: Firstsource Advantage, LLC - Credit Collection Agency
They were calling for a person I do not know so I have no idea what creditor they are calling on behalf of. I asked to have my number removed from their calling list. Time will tell if they adhere to my request.

This caliber of agency is too dysfunctional to be trusted with a verbal cease-communication demand. To halt the misfired skip trace calls, laying a paper trail is far more effective than verbal denials. My advice for "not me" cases is found here:

Whether you are called a debtor or some collector thinks you can flush one out, you have rights and options. Many are simple to exercise if you only learn how. You are entitled to proof of claim and fair treatment. If one or the other is not provided, the collection agency should *not* win your assets. You are granted control of how you are contacted, the right to dispute debt claims, and the means to sue violators at low cost. The FTC and the CFPB can start you on your homework. Bill collector calling for someone with a similar name.

The caller claims to be with FirstSource Advantage ... a debt collector.
They have called me several times but won't talk to me until I verify who I am ... excuse me?  Someone CLAIMING to be from  debt collection firm calls me & expects me to provide them with my name & date of birth & social security number before they will discuss "an important matter" with me?
When I say I am not willing to give personal information to someone who has NOT verified who they are, the caller states that she will "now disconnect the call" because "she can not" speak with me unless I verify who I am.
Sounds pretty much like a scam or if they are really a debt collector it sounds like they are "phishing" for information.
The fact that they want me to simply believe that they are who they say they are & want me to give them personal information without being told why comes across as a complete scam!

Thanks for reporting this phone number. I have it in my Skype recent contacts. I just have to block it and report it as abuse.

It looks to me a very poorly run debt collection scheme. My profession is IT and my specialty is data. People in general are not detail-oriented or knowledgeable when it comes to data integrity so a scheme like this is bound to fail if they get a poorly made list to work with from the start.

This is more of a nuisance to me that ties up my phone and loses me time while I wait for real employment-related calls.

This number has been calling me non stop. I want some off time. I'm not sure who they are and what that want. I am tired

Got a call from them claiming to be Amazon. Off bat wanted my birthday. I said no and said I had to verify who they were first. Now I see others have been called and given different name. They implied they were Amazon.

First Source Advantage is now masking this toll free number as Target. I don't shop Target so they'll have to do better if they want to catch me off guard!

They call day and night non stop

Received a call from this number asking to speak to someone who doesn't live here.

Been calling ever since I have had the phone in my hands. They are trying to collect from a lady name Karen. Before i remeber target or kohls calling for the same person. When i answer ill usually hear someone let a breath out than hang up.  I called back today and asked for them to stop calling. A man answered said tbe call was being recorded. Hopefully they have it in recording now.

This number has called several times.  The caller ID shows up as FIRST SOURCE ADV.  Looks and smells like a scam to me!

what is this in regards to?

Called my work looking for my husband. Would not say who they were. Would not give a number this is the 4th time they have called.  First Source is what showed up on the called ID.
