Rude caller. Said it was a personal business matter. They've called multiple times.  This time I answered at 8am on a Saturday just to get the phone to stop ringing.

They call many times a day and have left only one message saying they are citicards and it's about a Sears charge account.  I don't have any accounts with Sears so I'm not sure why they keep calling.  Today they started calling at 8:45 AM.

They dialed me, it rang three times. I did not answer. I get calls from these unknown numbers maybe once a month. Please people, the secret is "do not answer the phone if you do not recognize the number".

I don't answer numbers I don't recognize. If it is important, they leave a message and I can choose to call back, or not. These people don't stop calling just because you don't answer. From previous posts it appears that these are scammers. Not fast learners!

I recently had 2 calls on my cell phone that were not recognized and not answered. They left messages stating they were Sears and wanting to let me know that my maintence agreement is about to expire and that I should renew it. Now I'm getting calls on my home phone several times a day which I also don't answer because they are from 800 service. No messages are ever left but after readin some of the above post, I bet it's Sears again calling about a maintence agreement. Does anyone know how to get them to stop without answering? The calls are very annoying. I might have to answer just to tell them to quit calling me.

This is a Phishing scheme. If you answer it, the auto-dialer records the number as an active line and sells it.
You may start getting other nuisance calls soon...like campaign messages since we are coming into an election year.
Contact your service provider, you may get lucky and actually talk someone with some compassion and not just trying to get you off their line.
    Good luck.
