877-437-5095

This number belongs to Northeast Legal Group.  I read some complaint blogs where the number was reported as ending with 5905. In my case they report their number as 1-877-437-5095.  They are leaving multiple VM's on my cell saying it is an urgent legal matter. When I called, I discovered they are not even lawyers.  The guy I spoke with could not even provide me with his license number.

Turns out this is about a hospital bill that was already taken of about a year ago. I am reporting them to the FTC.   This is a scam.  If you owe a debt, pay it to your original creditor, not to this debt collection 3rd party company. They will try to get 3 times what you supposedly owe. In my case, they quoted 3 times the amount of my already-paid hospital bill.

This company called and spoke with my spouse and told her that they needed to speak to me and it was urgent, that " I had been doing illegal activities and if they didn't talk to me her and I could both go to jail" ! They are not lawyers, I have not broken any laws, BUT if i ever can get my hands on one of these little lying SOB'S I promise you all kinds of laws will be broken, along with a few jaws and a couple of noses!!!!

This person called and harrassed me regarding a bill or bills that he stated I owed.  When I asked him to send me information regarding the bills be became angry yelling and screaming.  I asked to speak with a supervisor and he became even more angry.  He even had the nerve to call a friend of mines phone and leave a message with my information on their voicemail.  Which by the way is against the law.  I contacted the Attorney General's office and was told that this was a scam.  I also contacted an attorney's office regarding suing them and was told to go to FBI website and file a complaint.  They are trying to track down this or these individuals.
