sallie mae regarding student loans

the always call like 10 times between 9 and 5 and never leave a message. one person says its sallie mae and thats possible, salie mae usually leaves a message and I know I'm up to date on my loans.

They call all day long & into the evening on a daily basis. If I pick up the phone they hang up most of the time. When they do speak they say they are from Sally Mae & that I owe them money for a student loan. I tell them I have never had any loans from them & they must have the wrong party, they hang up & call right back.  This has been going on for more than two years. I've tried to report this to the phone co. & the police but they say there's nothing they can do about it.  My mother is ill & is @ home most of the time & has to get up to answer these calls & it is not helping her get well any sooner.  Can't they bee stopped some way?   Thank You!

I got a call from this number. The person asked to speak to me and after I said, "This is she" she immediately asked for my Social Security number "for verification purposes." This is even before identifying that she was from (at least allegedly) from Sallie Mae. Needless to say I wouldn't give it to her. I asked her what it was about and she wouldn't give me that, either, without some other identifying info, such as an address or d.o.b. I asked to speak to her supervisor. She said certainly, and after a minute of hold music I was cut off. This sounded like a scam to me. If it isn't, then Sallie Mae has grossly inappropriate phone behavior. I would never give my SS# to somebody who calls me out of the blue; only to a vendor (like a bank) that you have called and have business with. Unfortunately, I believe many would if they were told it was Sallie Mae, which sounds so official and quasi-governmental.

Harrassing calls at my business

its sallie mae. i have a loan with them & i am kind of behind with my payments & i made an arrangement that i would pay off my past due balance and somehow they still manage to call me. its very annoying. they harrass you all day. they call like 10x a day.

It is Sallie Mae. They call for my boyfriend while I'm at home and when I tell them that he works during the day, they ask me for a work number or a business name. Talk about harrassment.

I'm supposed to be squared away with my loans after a brief period of not being, and they still call me 4-5 times a day. Do these people not keep records of the information they recieved?

I've just received a call from this number and supposed Sallie Mae. Sounded like a scam to me, asking for personal information. When I refused to give my personal information, he became extremely rude and belligerent. I’ve never had a student loan told him so. I don’t need to be treated this way, especially by someone who want something from me. They don’t have the right to treat people like dirt!
