I just called the number, for the fourth time, told them so, and that there may be a lawsuit gathering against them, that I demand that my number be removed from the call list. I was told t takes 30 days to totally remove. I reminded 'Helen' that this is the fourth time and to please make certain that this time it does indeed happen.
After an uncomfortable pause she assured me that she had just done so.
Good luck to all in the same situation.

Call came in a bit before 8 pm; paused like computer dialer, then person came on.  I asked how could I direct their call, and female asked for "David"; we have had this number for more than a decade, and there are no Davids here; told female to remove my number from their call list, and she said she would have to connect me with a supervisor!  I told her to remove number, and that I do not have to talk with supervisor, and I hung up; as usual, this web site provides more insights.  Caller: If I want to buy something, I will call who I want to buy it from, and will not buy from any telemarketer, PERIOD.

Maybe it's because I just relocated here - new home, regardless - about 10-15 calls a day, this one has hit 3 times in 3 days....just another aggravation - and yes, I have this number listed in the 'do not call registry'

Generally one call on a daily basis, sometimes at 9 am.  I am a shift worker and am not amused by this.  I wish these telemarketers would realize if they really had something I could not live without, I would be calling them.

I called back and got Edna, customer service representative for Sears Home Improvement.  She apologized and said that it was a problem with their automatic calling system which drops the line when customers pick up.  Duhh.  She said she will take my name off the list.  We shall see.

So, this is related (in a way to your calls)...I looked in the Newspaper here in Morgantown, West Virginia and saw and ad in the Classifieds for Sears Home Improvement in the Help Wanted section as an "Appointment Setter," being broke and unemployed I went there, drove clear out in the woods to this place that didn't even look like a Sears would be there, it was a call center, so I went in and applied and they trained me, and they expected us to do A LOT now I know where you all are coming from and me myself wouldn't harass anyone, so I stayed for maybe three weeks, and then got a job at a restaurant. Word of advice, do not order anything from Sears Home Improvement, from working there, yeah they will offer you a "Free" estimate, and it is essentially free, but then they will say it's for the future or something along those lines, this is bull...the estimates are only good for about six months I believe and the reason why they take so long to take you guys off of the list is because it removes you from every list from Sears, so say you order a washer and dryer...and you want them to call you when it comes in...because of the way that SHIP (Sears Home Improvement Products)has it set up, when you want removed from their call list it also removes you from everything and that washer and dryer you ordered, they won't be able to call you to let you know it came in. Trust me, some of the people that call you make 35 dollars an appointment on top of their hourly pay. It is an automatic dialer that calls too...and they are trained to hang up when it goes to an answering machine and then they code it as such that is why you all get the calls constantly because when it goes to answering machine they just put it back in the pool. Never tell them you are busy, they will code it as busy and call you back later that night. I think that the products they offer really aren't all that great either...maybe the Carrier and Kenmore products, but please get those installed professionally by Representatives of the Company themselves not some sloppy, uneducated third party who will take all your money for poor craftsmanship. Hope this helps some....
