several rings ... on msg., then hang-up. robo caller!

never leaves a msg. 5 calls in last 2 days. Citi bank call center. i dont owe them money went to my branch and the teller said :actually WE owe you money, HAH! ..... all of $.13.!!

It said my name

I've repeatedly gotten calls from this number with someone claiming to be from Citibank.  He addressed me by first name upon my answering the phone, but I didn't take the bait (confirming my identity).   Instead, I asked who was calling and he revealed himself as being from Citibank then proceeded to ask me to confirm he was indeed reaching Liz ------.  I then just hung up on him.  I receive calls from that number at least 4x a day.  I've blocked it.

Said he was calling from Citibank looking for one of my best friends (indentified her by first and last name). Told him I wasn’t her, called my friend who checked with Citibank directly. They didn’t know of any issue with her account.  I suspect this is a scam.

Called 3 x's.  I answered the third call.  They identified as Citibank and identified me by my first and last name,  Said I owed $250 and immediately asked if I would like to make that payment.  They told me about an account in 2016 that I never had.  Said the last payment was in 2016.  I asked why am I just now getting a phone call about it.   She said she couldn't answer that.

They called and when I called back he asked for my ss#. Which of course I didn't give. Then he asked for my phone number  I figured since they had that I could give it. So I did. Then he asked for my address. I then hung up.

This is NOT Citibank, this is a scam. They claim to be Citibank and they are either trying to get you to respond to your name with "yes" so they can get your voice confirmation, or they are trying to get you to tell them your Citibank card number, or both. I get calls from this number every day so I called the number on the back of my Citibank card and they have not been trying to reach me.

I am working with a company to consolidate my debt into one payment.  This company is one of them.             They instructed me to ignore any calls from Citi Bank, which is what I have been doing.
They are now blocked on my phone

Called my deceased mother's phone and when I answered, they immediately said my mother's first name and when I said "I'm sorry she's deceased", they immediately disconnected the call.  I called the number back and the outgoing message identifies as Citibank, but, I have long since called all of the creditors that my mother had and have informed them of her passing and provided all information requested by each of them.  If they are looking to make a claim, they should know that they have to do that through Surrogate's Court - calling her old phone or trying to reach out to family or friends won't get them any payment.
