This number was attached to a red screen warning message that popped up on my computer screen saying the  a scam was blocked on my financial data, but that my bank account may have been gotten and that I should call the 1-877-487-1432 number for assistance in freezing my accounts. It seems lake a scam attempt to get my account information? I did NOT call the number

Correct - it is a SCAM that tries to get remote access to your computer.

Yes, I just got the same alert on my system....  I took pictures of it!!  They are claiming to be Microsoft Support

They are CROOKS!!   Microsoft does NOT cold call.  There is no way anyone can tell there is a problem unless they have remote access - NEVER allow that.

Just had same experience described by thom.  If only people would work half as hard to earn an honest living...

I saw a red screen warning allegedly from google telling me to call microsoft 877 487 1432.  I didn't trust it to be real and didn't call or click anywhere.  I think it is a scam too.
